«Breaking News» BBC bosses blur out interviewee Glamour Pam’s CLEAVAGE

BBC bosses have defended their decision to blur the cleavage of a woman who appeared in a documentary about fake news. 

The BBC Africa programme muzzed the chest of an interviewee called Glamour Pam, a social media star in Kenya. 

The decision was taken to avoid causing offence in conservative African countries where the documentary would be aired, the Guardian reported. 

One internal email reportedly said the that 'the decision to deal with Pam's cleavage was made at senior editorial level' in the BBC's African arm. 

'The decision was made because of sensitivity thresholds with one of the partners for our She Word programme,' a producer said. 

Many African countries showed the programme before their watershed, the BBC said.  

The film-makers had planned to get round the issue by showing her only in wide shots and not zoom in on her chest. 

But a few scenes showed Glamour Pam closer up and producers decided the blurring was needed to avoid causing offence. 

The documentary aired on BBC Africa's She Word programme which aims to 'explore the life experiences of women in today's Africa'.

It has been uploaded to the BBC's YouTube channel, including the muzzing of Glamour Pam's chest.

One staff member compared the BBC's decision-making to W1A, the corporation's self-parodying sitcom.  

Glamour Pam took part in the programme to explore her attitude to Instagram and social media. 

The advert for the programme said: 'From Insta-face to jeeps and bling to full-on faking it, millennials in Africa are living on 'likes' as the social media world expands, sometimes going to extreme lengths to clock up the clicks. 

'Using the Instagram look, the content, the followers and the tech to transform her online profile, we challenge one Kenyan student, a 21 year old social media "virgin", to go from private to public, and see if she can fake it - in just five days.' 

It is part of the corporation's Beyond Fake News project aiming to explain the spread of disinformation around the globe.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
