Brendan Murray was one of three contestants to earn a safe seat during Sunday night's episode of X Factor, thanks to being given the coveted Golden Buzzer.
The Irish singer, 21, blew both the audience and judging panel away with his rendition of R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts', which also earned him a standing ovation.
In awe of his performance, Simon Cowell, 58, gushed: 'Brendan, you're in a completely different league to everyone else!'

Simon added: 'And you know what's so charming about you, you don't even know how good you are.'
But it was Louis Tomlinson, 26, who was calling the shots, as he watched the contestants in the Boys category battle it out for positions on the show.
And the One Direction star was clearly impressed with Brendan's skills, as he joked that he wanted to have a 'word' with him off stage, before running and pressing the Golden Buzzer.

This means that Brendan, who represented Ireland in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, has earned a safe seat and can't be swapped out for another contestant during the six chair challenge.
The Golden Buzzer was introduced this season, which a judge can press to take an act in their category straight through to the Judges Houses round.
Louis wasn't the only one to be impressed enough to press the buzzer, as Simon sent Bella Penfold, 19, through, while Ayda Field gave it to Ricky John, 36.

After the intense six-chair challenge, the final contestants in Ayda's Over 25s category were revealed as: Janice Robinson, Danny Tetley, Olatunji Yearwood, Ricky, Louise Setara, and Giovanni Spano.
While in Simon's Girls category, Scarlett Lee, Maria Laroco, Georgia Burgess, Shan, Molly Scott and Bella were sent through to the Judges house.
Both Robbie and Louis have yet to complete their picks, but the Angels hitmaker sent fans wild when he asked Burgundy to stay in the competition and perform with Panda in the Groups category.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
