«Breaking News» Japanese hypercar that hits 0-60mph in UNDER two seconds goes for sale

Pre-orders have begun for the first models of a £3.1million electric car which its makers claim can accelerate from 0 to 60 in less than two seconds.

The futuristic Aspark Owl, manufactured by a Japanese company, is going on display at the Paris Motor Show this week.

At the launch the car's creators said it would have 430 horsepower, weigh less than 1,900 pounds - similar to an average dairy cow and less than half a typical white rhino - and accelerate to sixty in just two seconds.

Customers will be able to put down their first £890,000 (€1 million) deposits at the Paris exhibition, Bloomberg has reported.

Aspark said they only plan to produce 50 units - and customers will have to fork out more than £3million to get their hands on the exclusive vehicle.

The company earlier this year released incredible footage showing the electric hypercar smashing the sub-2-second mark and achieving a time of just 1.921 seconds - faster than any Formula 1 racing car.

Its incredible acceleration takes place over a distance of around 88 feet (27 metres), a company brochure said.

The vehicle is road-legal and the first models will be delivered to customers in 2020, the company has said.

Manufacturers say it could reach a top speed of 174mph and when fully charged could drive for 186 miles without stopping to refuel.

The two-seater is set to go on the market for £3.1million, making it more expensive than other futuristic models such as Tesla's Roadster.

Despite the futuristic design with huge arches over the front wheels the car's interior is fairly simple with no assisted-driving systems.

The front design is intended to be 'intimidating' for drivers who see the electric vehicle behind them in a rear view mirror, the company said said.

The brochure described the Owl as 'a gorgeous, voluptuous shape that will draw envious glances from others on the road'.

The prototype uses two small 40kW motors, in order to keep the vehicle light and ensure it has a low centre of gravity, the manufacturers said.

The company said: 'Conventional electric cars are easy to make. But then, where's the fun in that? The Owl lets drivers experience faster acceleration than anything previously possible.

'We can say one thing for sure. We had a blast designing this car. We're sure you'll enjoy driving it as much as we enjoy making it. The Owl offers a thrill that only a select few will be able to experience'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
