«Breaking News» South Carolina teacher Keller Sutherland helps student save father's life

An elementary school teacher has helped save the life of a student's father, after seeing the young boy biking down a busy highway in a desperate bid to seek help.

First-grade teacher Keller Sutherland was driving home last week in Greenville County, South Carolina when she saw a young boy riding his bike on a four-lane highway.

Doubling back, she realized that the boy was seven-year-old Cameron, who had been her student the previous year.

Cameron told her that his dad was diabetic and had collapsed at home. The boy explained that he didn't know how to call 911 on his dad's locked cell phone, and after knocking on his neighbors' doors with no answer, he'd set off on his bike to make the five-mile journey to his grandmother's house to seek help.

'After two gentlemen who also stopped contacted police and first responders we were able to make it back to the home just in time to help his dad!' Sutherland wrote in a Facebook post.

'I am still overwhelmed by the amazing strength and determination this child had to do what he was attempting to do. Even though he didn't make it to Grandma's, I am incredibly grateful to have passed by him when I did!' she continued.

'There is no doubt that this moment was a divine intervention from God!!!'

In a video released by the school, Cameron said that he was scared when he was biking down the busy highway, and grateful to see his former teacher when she stopped to help.

'When I seen myself as a teacher, it just goes so far beyond the classroom,' Sutherland said in the video.

She said the day she spotted Cameron had been difficult at work, and she was feeling frustrated at her ability to reach her students.

'God just showed up in an amazing way,' Sutherland said. 'On a day when I felt I wasn't making an impact, He just intervened and placed me where I needed to be for Cameron.'

Shawn McCain, the principal of Ellen Woodside Elementary, says that in response to the incident, the school will begin instructing students on how to make emergency calls on both Androids and iPhones when they are locked.

'Cameron was doing exactly what he was taught, but it was a different phone,' McCain said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
