«Breaking News» Rachel Weisz champions gay rights as she chats to a young fan at the BAFTAs.

Rachel Weisz won praise both on and off the red carpet on Sunday evening during a triumphant appearance at the 72nd British Academy Film Awards.

The 48-year old claimed the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role as Lady Sarah in The Favourite, a richly deserved win and one of seven awards claimed by the Yorgos Lanthimos directed dramedy.

But she was also lauded as she made her way into London’s Royal Albert Hall after championing a good cause at the request of a young fan.

In video footage captured on the night that has now gone viral Rachel initially appears confused after the fan, named Alice, asks her to show her support for the gay rights movement.

But after struggling to understand her request over the red carpet noise, she soon realises what Alice wants and makes her back, where she announces ‘Gay Rights’ for the benefit of a waiting camera before giving the fan a hug.

Rachel's co-star Olivia Colman, another winner on the night having claimed the Best Actress award for her role as Queen Anne of Great Britain,  was also approached as she made her way across the red carpet.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
