«Breaking News» Stunning wedding photos see bride carrying her daughter down the aisle on her back

A bride who wanted her child to be involved in her wedding ceremony carried the toddler down the aisle on her back as she tied the knot with her new husband.

Dalton Mort, from Steubenville, Ohio, who got married last summer to her partner Jimmy Joe, thought that her special day wouldn't be complete without her toddler Ellora being a part of it.

Therefore, she thought of a creative solution to incorporate her daughter, who was just under two years of age at the time, into her wedding ceremony.

The mother-of-one used a fabric baby-wrap to carry the toddler down the aisle during her summer wedding, which took place in Steubenville, Ohio, last summer.

Dalton enlisted in Ohio-based photographer Laura Schaefer of Fire and Gold Photography, who captured the spectacular photos.

The gorgeous mother-daughter moments see Dalton walking down the aisle in a gorgeous ivory-colored lace dress with her daughter strapped securely to her back in a multi-colored pink and purple wrap.

Speaking to Popsugar, Dalton said she wanted Ellora to feature in the wedding ceremony for a number of reasons.

The mother-of-one said that she and Jimmy felt that getting married was not only a commitment to each other, but to their daughter too.

Dalton also knew that because the ceremony was a full Roman Catholic mass, it could go on for quite a while.

Such ceremonies can often last for anywhere between 40 minutes to over one hour.

As well as the length of the mass posing a possible issue, their ceremony was scheduled during Ellora's usual nap time, so Dalton thought it would be easier to hold her during this time.

Speaking to the publication, Dalton explained: 'I wore her for a couple of reasons. We really wanted her to be involved in the ceremony, because we felt marriage is a commitment to our family as much as our own relationship.

Stunning: The only slight mishap that occurred was Ellora falling asleep during the ceremony. However, Dalton said the toddler was still involved in the occasion, as she held her in her arms as she and her new husband said their vows

'Also, realistically, it just was easier to wear her. We knew the mass was going to be at least 45 minutes and was smack in the middle of nap time.

She added: 'She was going to need Momma, and I didn't want to be worried about her.

'She actually fell asleep about 20 minutes in,' she added.

Despite fears that the toddler could cry or might not have enjoyed being in such a long ceremony, things couldn't have gone smoother.

The only minor glitch involved having to unwrap Ellora from the wrap in order to nurse her while she slept comfortably.

Dalton said: 'I wouldn't have had it any other way.

'There is no better toddler than a sleeping toddler, and she was still involved, even though I ended up unwrapping her to nurse her.

She added: 'I held her in my arms while my husband and I said our vows. It was really special for us.'

Newlyweds: The photographer added that Dalton's choice to incorporate the child in the wedding, which took place in Steubenville, Ohio, last summer, was 'special, unique and meaningful'

Photographer Laura Schaefer told HuffPost that watching the special mother-daughter moment was an incredible experience.

She said: 'Wearing Ellie incorporated her in their wedding in a special, unique and meaningful way.

'I was excited to capture photos of Dalton putting Ellie on while she was getting ready.

'It would be a unique twist on a bride putting on her veil, completing the bridal look,' she added.

Laura, who is also a friend of Dalton, said that she hopes Dalton's decision to do something different in her wedding ceremony might inspire others to think outside the box.

However, the photographer added that sticking to what best suits your lifestyle and family is the best idea.

She said: 'Do what is most natural and what fits your family and lifestyle.'

Dalton explained to the publication that wearing her baby didn't seem like a big deal to her.

She said that she had grown up watching her mother wearing her younger brother years ago.

Dalton purchased the stunning wrap from Oscha Slings - a family business near Edinburgh, Scotland.

The retailer specializes in 'artistic carriers and woven accessories'.

According to the website, the woven baby wraps 'distribute your child’s weight evenly'. Therefore, the wraps are a comfortable experience for the child.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
