«Breaking News» Roxy Jacenko has learnt to let go of her 'obsession with being skinny'

PR maven Roxy Jacenko has previously admitted to plummeting to a dangerously low 45kg during her darkest days in 2016-2017.

But now the Sydney-based publicist, 38, claims she's fixed her problematic relationship with food and learnt to not let exercise control her life.

'It’s amazing how detrimental the obsession with being skinny can become for one on so many different levels,' the mother-of-two openly admitted.

Roxy, who is launching a new post-workout salad range with Chargrill Charlie's on Monday February 18, says she now feels 'more focused and more creative' at a healthier weight.

Roxy said while she was impressed and proud of her four-pack abs at the time, she said it came with underlying 'health and mental state issues'.

'It's when you get to the point where you cannot actually even think and you are falling asleep sitting up that you realise what you are doing to your body is really terrible and not sustainable.'

She also says she's changed up her exercise routine, opting instead to choose programs that are 'fun and great fitness'.

'It's to suit my life now and not to take over my life. Now I do CYCOLOGY this fab bike class in Surry Hills. It's 45 minutes of high intensity cycling which is FUN and great fitness – I have never sweat until I took this up and I absolutely love it.'

Speaking to journalist Melissa Doyle on Sunday Night in November 2018, Roxy admitted she weighed just 45kg during her darkest days.

The PR maven has previously spoken about how 'dangerous' her weight loss became during that period and admitted she had a problematic relationship with food.

She told Daily Mail Australia in February, 2018: 'I was having personal issues, had been diagnosed with cancer, managing my businesses (Ministry of Talent, Sweaty Betty PR and Pixies Bows), had the two kids and a husband that was in jail.'

She continued: 'I recall going to mum's place on a Tuesday for family dinner and her forcing food on me – there is no doubt I had a problem.'

'I was having personal issues': Roxy said she experienced her darkest days after she was diagnosed with cancer and was juggling her businesses and looking after two children while her husband Oliver Curtis was in jail

During this difficult time, Roxy regularly posted pictures of herself on social media and fans often complimented the publicist on her ripped post-workout selfies.

'It's funny how when people say you are looking "great" even though you are well on your way to being skin and bone that you buy into it and keep trying to get slimmer!' she said.

'I was in a really bad place and while I had a four-pack which, I thought, was fantastic, realistically I was starving myself,' Roxy confessed.

‘It’s amazing ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
