As it begins its centenary year celebrations, Citroen is launching its new flagship C5 Aircross sports utility vehicle on Monday. And I've been among the first to drive the smooth French five-seater family runaround on British roads.
The new C5 Aircross is the latest model in a refreshed range that aims to put the stress on comfort and design, and impart a feel-good factor to driver and occupants. So don't expect racetrack performance.
Smooth operator: The C5 Aircross SUV has special 'anti-pothole' suspension
But what you do get is relaxed long-legged driving that is both intuitive and calming — just what you want if you are ferrying a family around.

Comfort is at the heart of the new C5 Aircross — from the extra padded seats to the advanced suspension designed to cushion occupants from the harshness of potholes and speed-bumps.

There are 19 separate driver-assist and braking technologies, including active lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring. Also available is grip control with hill-descent assist if you go off-road. Stop-Start technology helps save fuel and emissions.
A good selection: There are three trim levels, starting with the Feel, priced from £23,225 to £26,325
There are three trim levels, starting with the Feel, priced from £23,225 to £26,325, the expected best-seller Flair, from £25,325 to £30,325, and Flair Plus, from £27,725 to £32,725. These integrate with five engine and gearbox combinations from two petrol and two diesel models.
Choice: The diesel Blue HDi 130 is matched with both manual and 8-speed automatic gearboxes
The PureTech petrol 130 is paired with a six-speed manual box, while the 180 version is linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel Blue HDi 130 is matched with both manual and 8-speed automatic gearboxes, while the BlueHDi 180 diesel has just the automatic version. A plug-in electric hybrid version of the C5 Aircross is to follow early next year.

I had a relaxing drive around Surrey in a C5 Aircross Flair-Plus in Tijuca Blue with a willing BlueHDi 130 turbo-charged 1.5-litre diesel engine linked to a six-speed manual gearbox.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
