«Breaking News» Joe Pesci comes out of retirement for new Google Assistant commercial

Joe Pesci hasn't been seen in a movie since 2010, but the iconic actor has come out of retirement for a hilarious new ad for Google Assistant.

Back in December, Google Assistant debuted a new ad featuring Macaulay Culkin playing an adult version of his Kevin McCallister character from the 1990 classic Home Alone.

In a meta twist, Pesci plays himself in this ad, watching the McCallister ad, dubbed Home Alone Again, during a Super Bowl party with some friends.

The 75-year-old actor, who sports a trimmed beard, a stylish chapeau hat and a black shirt, tries to explain the ad to his friends.

'He's home alone,' Pesci explains to friends during his party. 'The name of the movie is Home Alone.'

After Culkin's aftershave scene, Pesci goes on to explain that it's the same as the movie, 'Except he's big now.'

Pesci cracks up laughing when Culkin gingerly has to lower himself from the bed, holding his bad back, with Pesci stating, 'How bout that face he makes.'

The legendary actor also cracks up during the pizza delivery scene, while saying, 'I love this,' as Culkin initiates, 'Operation Kevin' with Google Assistant.

He then gets his friends ready for his 'big part' in the commercial, where his line, 'Better get outta here before somebody sees us' plays as the van drives off.

The whole party starts cheering for Pesci as the Home Alone Again ad comes to an end, with this new ad ending with one of his friends saying, 'You nailed it.'

After the 'Make Google do it' tagline is revealed, a calm Pesci ends the commercial by definitively stating, 'I nailed it. I did, I nailed it' as the Google Assistant logo is shown.

Pesci announced he was retiring from acting in 1999, but this isn't the first time he has returned to the spotlight since then.

He put in a cameo appearance in Robert De Niro's second directorial effort, 2006's The Good Shepherd and he starred in 2010's Love Ranch with Helen Mirren.

He also comes out of retirement for the upcoming movie The Irishman, which reunites him with Goodfellas director Martin Scorsese and star Robert De Niro, along with Al Pacino, which debuts on Netflix sometime in 2019.

Culkin himself even responded to the ad on Friday, taking to Twitter to say, 'I love this! But how come Pesci didn't have to get into costume?! #HeyGoogle #ad.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
