A private Requiem Mass was celebrated Monday morning for socialite and ex-princess Caroline Lee Bouvier Radziwill at St Thomas More Church on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The four years younger sister of the late former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis passed away on February 15 of natural causes. She was 85.
Family and friends nearly filled to capacity the 250 seat, 19th-century Gothic Revival architectural style Catholic church to remember and say their good-byes to the style icon.
Among the mourners at the invitation-only service were Lee's only surviving child, Anna Christina (her son Anthony predeceased her in 1999); former daughter-in-law Carole Radziwill, who arrived solo on foot; niece Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, her husband Edwin and Marta Sgubin, Jackie’s longtime housekeeper and cook, all exiting the same SUV.
Also attending were Sophia Coppola, sneaker wearing fashion designer Marc Jacobs--vaping as he entered the church- as well as Carolina Herrera and her husband Reinaldo. They arrived in a chauffeur driven sedan with their pooch in the front passenger seat.
Larger than life Andre Leon Talley, the retired Vogue fashion editor was an early arrival as was the socialite Deeda Blair.
The hearse carrying Lee’s body idled for a period on the street leading up to the church before pulling slowly up out front doors at 10.03am. Her flower bedecked wicker casket was carried inside by pallbearers from the Frank E Campbell Funeral Home, the same outfit that handled Jackie’s funeral in 1994.
Getting out of a car directly behind the hearse was Lee’s daughter, Anna Christina. She followed her mom’s casket up the steps and into the church for the service.

The raspy-voiced three times divorced Radziwill outlived all of her husbands—her first, Michael Canfield, died in 1969.
She then wed Polish aristocrat Prince Stanislas Radziwill, with whom she had her two children. He would pass on nearly two years after their 1974 divorce.
Her final try at marriage, to Herbert Ross, lasted 10 years until 1999, the same year as her son Anthony's cancer death at age 40.
Ross, a choreographer and award-winning director of 'Funny Girl' and 'Steel Magnolias' died two years later, in 2001.
St Thomas More is a longtime favorite place of worship for the Bouvier and Kennedy families.
Almost 20 years ago it was the setting for a memorial service for Lee's nephew John F Kennedy Jr and his wife Caroline, held 14 days after their tragic plane crash deaths on July 16, 1999.
Jackie was also a regular parishioner. She had a Mass offered for her husband, assassinated president John F Kennedy, every November 22 on the anniversary of his death.
The tradition was maintained by their daughter Caroline after Jackie's passing in 1994.

Jackie and Lee, were two of the most glamorous women of their generation, but their closeness came with a fierce rivalry.
From a young age the pair pitted themselves against one another, with Lee regarded as the 'pretty one', and Jackie the 'smart one'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
