'Whatever the scene is about, it's 100% about that scene. We don't bring the outside world into that scene', he added.

Echoing his comments, the Dark Knight Rises actress interjected: 'We made this film, which as you mentioned, has a lot of vulnerable scenes in it.

'We made this film before #MeToo became so front and centre, I’m very proud to say we wouldn’t have done anything different', she explained.

The pair went on to tease each other about using their Oscars on set, following the recent 91st Academy Awards ceremony.

Anne, who scooped Best Supporting Actress for her role in 2012's Les Misérables, joked: 'Matthew puts his just out of frame. Sometimes I see him staring off very intensely, and he’s staring at his Oscar.'

Making a playful quip in response, Matthew, who won the Best Actor gong for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club in 2014, laughed: 'It’s in my contract, it’s always just 2ft out of my scene. People just have to deal with it.'

Anne and Matthew previously co-starred as astronauts in Christopher Nolan's critically-acclaimed 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar, which amassed $677.5M at the global box office.

Meanwhile, Larger Than Life star Matthew recently admitted he used to have a crush on Serenity co-star Diane Lane.

The actor, who shares children Levi, 10, Vida, nine, and Livingston, six, with wife Camila Alves, 37,  said it was a 'privilege' to work with the 54-year-old because he had a crush on her when he was a teenager.

During an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, he shared: 'I had a crush on her since a film she was in - Lonesome Dove. That may have been almost preteens for me, so [now] I get to work with her.

'She looks about the same as she did back then. And she's one of our great actors that we have in show business, in the business of storytelling. It was a privilege I got to work with her.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
