Speaking about his tragic past, Jake confessed he had a number of friends who suffered from depression and ultimately took their own lives.

'I've had a few friends that have passed away from suicide from when I was younger,' the Polished Man ambassador said.

'I think that it's such a major problem for young men dealing with depression in society. A lot of people do suffer from it.'

However, Jake said he has noticed a shift recently in the perception of men talking more openly about their feelings.

He said this was especially so in the TV industry where actors often 'bare their souls'  for a performance.

'The stigma definitely seems like it's improved since I was in my twenties': The actor said he had noticed men were expressing their feelings more freely, but 'there's a long way to go'

'There's a long way to go, but the stigma definitely seems like it's improved since I was in my twenties, I think,' Jake explained.

'You go to other countries like America and therapy over there is like going to the dentist, everyone should probably have a therapist.

'It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. It seems like we're getting towards that way.'

As well as mental health, Jake is passionate about helping vulnerable children and has joined stars such as Georgia Love, Michael Klim and Olympia Valance for Polished Man's latest campaign.

The charity's annual campaign features celebrities painting one nail to symbolise the one child who dies every five minutes as a result of violence, with the aim to raise money to end the violence.

'Out of all the people in the world, it should be children that should be the least worried about living a life of violence,' Jake said.

'I've never experienced violence myself personally. I've been very very fortunate not having that in my life, but I do have four little nephews.'

He added that his love for his young family members makes him particularly sad that other kids in the world don't necessarily have the same support.

'They're almost like some of my best friends,' Jake said of his nephews. 'And I can't imagine loving any kids more than I love my boys.

'There are a lot of kids out there that don't have the loving, supportive families that I grew up with and was so lucky to have.'

Speaking about his tragic past, J...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
