A pair of preschool teachers in Georgia resigned Friday after they allegedly tied two students' wrists behind their backs with zip ties and threatened to toss spiders on them if they didn't behave.
The extreme form of punishment occurred at Oak View Elementary in DeKalb County last Monday.
The female teachers named responsible for the alleged incidents against the two young girls have not been identified.
Oak View Principal Sabrina Pressley sent a letter home regarding the incidents to parents and guardians last week.

Two teachers at a Georgia preschool were forced to resign Friday after they allegedly tied two students' wrists behind their backs with zip ties and threatened to toss spiders on them
One of the mothers said her four-year-old daughter has suffered nightmares about being tied up 'like a criminal'
'This letter is written to make you aware of an incident that occurred at our school last week.
'The incident took place in one of our Pre-K classrooms. A parent brought it to our attention on Tuesday,' the letter stated.
The principal confirmed the teachers are currently under investigation and have been removed as staff members pending resolution.

While the teachers were initially suspended, both resigned Friday.
'The safety and security of our children continues to be one of our main priorities.
'We sincerely thank you for helping us in this endeavor,' the letter said further.
'We ask that you continue to help us with our safety efforts by "saying something when you see something!"'
One of the mothers, who did not wish to be pictured or named, told WSB-TV that her daughter hasn't been her usual self since.
The mother told the outlet: 'She said, "mommy, I was scared to tell you because I thought I was going to get in trouble."'
The woman found out her daughter was one of the children involved in the bizarre punishment after the other parent informed school officials.
'I was upset because this parent came to them on Tuesday and I was not aware of it until Thursday,' the mom said.
She said her four-year-old daughter has suffered nightmares about being tied up 'like a criminal' and also threatened with spiders.
'I want them to pay... I want them to not have any license to teach because they don't need to teach,' the woman added.
'Who would do this? Would they like this to happen to their own kids?'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
