«Breaking News» Phillip Schofield channels Evil Knievel in a striking daredevil ensemble as he films a car advert

We're used to seeing him working a smart-causal look on This Morning.

But Phillip Schofield was kitted out in a full daredevil ensemble to shoot a webuyanycar.com advert in the village of Jordans, Buckinghamshire on Thursday.

The presenter, 55, couldn't be missed in the white and bold green racing driver kit, complete with striking stars and a personalised 'P.S.' belt-buckle.

Phillip strutted around the set in a pair of knee high space boots and covered his hands with white racing gloves.

His garish outfit gave a clear nod to American stunt performer and entertainer Evel Knievel, who attempted more than 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps.

Phillip carried his helmet for the most-part, but dramatically tossed it onto the ground at one point in a sassy diva-strop moment.

For another scene, the entertainment host donned his helmet whilst sitting on his motorbike, which was painted in the same colours and style as his green and white outfit.

Phillip then took to the top of the drop-ramp, with his helmet fastened onto his head, and looked around for instructions from below.

While his stunt-double tackled the dangerous scenes in place of Phillip, the presenter - who was clearly impressed - applauded with delight.

Phillip then took the time to shake hands with the stunt artist, who ensured that the advert will delight audiences with entertaining moves on the motorbike.

He had a host of behind-the-scenes assistants, including a make-up artist, to keep him looking the part.

The television star seemed to be in good spirits and happy that his day of filming was a success, as he high-fived a colleague.

Phillip is used to more comfortable settings alongside Holly Willoughby on the This Morning sofa, with the pair scooping the Best Daytime gong at the TV Choice Awards in September.

At the start of September, Holly spoke about her upcoming co-presenting gig on I'm A Celebrity alongside Declan Donnelly as she temporarily replaces embattled TV host Anthony McPartlin following his recent treatment in rehab.

Speaking to her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, she revealed she would be taking her children Harry, nine; Belle, seven, and Chester, three, out of school to join her in Australia when filming starts November.

Holly confirmed that she would be co-hosting I'm A Celebrity in August in a statement, in which she quipped: 'When is it a good time to tell Dec I'm scared of everything that moves?'

Meanwhile,Phillip Schofield also pointed out her fear of critters recently, as he took to Snapchat to quip: 'Holly in a jungle… where everything will scare her s***less… literally can't wait.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
