A woman who spoke out after her violent boyfriend was ordered to pay her just £75 compensation following a brutal attack has revealed she's been flooded with messages of thanks from fellow domestic abuse survivors.
Louise Reed, 27, was left covered in blood after her boyfriend Robert Jenney, 30, from Middlesborough, punched, head-butted and threw her around their home.
Jenney was handed a 12-month community order for the assault when he appeared for sentencing at Teesside Magistrates' Court, an instructed to pay £75 in compensation to Louise, who went on to slam his punishment in a moving Facebook post.
Louise said on This Morning on Tuesday that the meager amount Jenney was required to pay made her feel like she was the one being punished, and pointed out that her ex was free to resume his life and potentially offend again.
But she said of messages she'd received from other people praising her courage: 'I've found strength in fighting for other people to warn them of the signs, or help them get through what they've been through.'

Miss Reed and Jenney had been friends as teenagers, and met each other again by chance at a Middlesbrough FC match last season, rekindling their friendship and then starting to date. But their three month relationship ended in two shockingly violent attacks.
Jenney's punishment will be to do ten days of rehabilitation activity, and he was given a 12 month restraining order to stay away from Miss Reed. He was also ordered to pay £75 compensation to her and £165 court costs.
She said: 'I think it's disgusting to be honest because I feel like I'm the one being punished; I'm not able to move on with their life and he's been left off really.
'That's what it feels like, he's been left off to be able to do it again to another woman or another man.'

Their relationship got off to a good start as Jenney was romantic with Louise; cooking her dinner and buying her bottles of wine.
However their relationship started to turn sour when they would argue over minor things and he would call her names.
Her friends noticed a change in him but Louise, who had been in an abusive relationship before, refused to believe it was the same thing.
And then one night they got into an argument at his parents' house and he punched her in the face, before dragging her down three flights of stairs.

She decided not to press charges and hoped the police would scare him into not doing again.
However he attacked her once again by punching throwing her about and head butting her in the face.

She wrote in the post last month: 'I have a three year old girl who I now have to pluck up the courage to face and try and explain why Mammy's face is poorly, why I'm covered in bruises, why Mammy isn't her happy self and is quite sad and why Rob won't be coming round anymore. You don't do this to someone you love.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
