«Breaking News» Maya Jama commands attention in gold velvet coords at Ashley Williams LFW show

She's made sure to command attention walking the red carpet at the BAFTAs last weekend in a semi-sheer lace gown.

And Maya Jama, 24, continued to showcase her flair for fashion as she attended the Ashley Williams Autumn Winter runway show on Friday night.

The TV presenter donned a gold velvet coords for the London Fashion Week presentation at Ambika P3 alongside her Radio 1 colleague Nick Grimshaw, Liam Gallagher's daughter Molly Moorish and Mary Charteris.

Maya's nineties-inspired two-piece highlighted her svelte frame as she posed for photos on the FROW before watching Pixie Geldof and model Adwoa Aboah take to the runway.

She combated the chilly temperatures with a mixed shearling and fur-lined leather jacket and donned a pair of python print boots for the occasion. 

The broadcaster worked her raven-coloured locks into a sleek straight style and accessorised her ensemble with a glittering hair clip and an orange handbag.

The model's broadcasting career has been going from strength-to-strength in recent months after she landed a new weekend show on BBC Radio 1.

Maya was signed to Radio 1 a year ago as part of a major schedule shakeup and currently hosts shows on Saturday and Sunday.

The busy star has also been working on her second Self-designed clothing collection for online retailer PrettyLittleThing recently, alongside TV presenting work. 

'PLT has been one of my go-to brands and I’ve loved watching the brand grow over the years,' she revealed.

Away from work, the rising star has been dating rapper and grime star Stormzy - real name Michael Omari Owuo, Jr - for coming up to four years.

The couple went public with their romance in 2016 after keeping things private for the first part of their relationship.

Earlier this month, Maya had a message for her Instagram followers, telling them in a post on her Stories that she's been 'struggling' with her mental health.

'Finally accepting that I've been struggling with my mental health for a while now, for ages I shrugged off feelings and would try to make excuses for why I felt low because I couldn't explain what I was feeling or why,' she wrote.

'I feel like this is the first step of me moving forward though, Accepting myself even when I'm not the bubbly positive girl and taking any of these days as they come.'

Adding: 'I've been wanting to cancel plans n shut off but I'm not going to today because something I have learnt is that as bad as it feels now it doesn't last. 

'I'm always going on about how healthy transparency is online but always delete these kind of messages before posting because of the vulnerability that comes with it. But f**k it were all human.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
