'Maybe I want to be a life coach because I like giving advice, but I think something in the educative form, somehow.

'My parents brought me up with the mindset of, "Go for it, Idris. You can do it if you want to." I think that’s why I am who I am today.

'Growing up as a kid in East London, I was a big daydreamer. I wanted to do all sorts of things. My main dream was to become a radio presenter, or be a DJ in the music industry.'

Offering his pearls of wisdom, the actor added: 'Don’t define yourself by one thing, take a look at a tool that can help you redefine yourself.'

The profound message comes as the Luther star was pictured on the set of the hotly anticipated spin-off to the Fast and Furious franchise.

Idris shared a glimpse at drama Hobbs and Shaw last week, posting an intense snap with co-stars Jason Statham, 51, and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, 46.

The actor posed in an intimidating stance, transforming into his role as villain Brixton by staring menacingly at the camera.

Idris donned a leather biker jacket over his hunky torso, while his character's look was completed with protective motorbike trousers and heavy-duty boots.

The image, taken by the film's producer Hiram Garcia, saw Jason don a black jacket and combat trousers, while Dwayne showed off his muscular arms in a zip-up shirt.

Gushing about the new film, Idris wrote in the caption: 'Take your positions! The Outlaw Lawman, HOBBS The International Spy, SHAW The Baddest BadMan the Fast & Furious franchise has ever had, BRIXTON.'

He added: 'Who’s ready for this?! Looking forward to being on the big screen this summer with the bro’s.'

Meanwhile, speaking recently in Radio Times' Christmas issue, Idris detailed the possibility of a movie version of Luther, saying a big screen adaptation would be on a more 'international' scale.

He said: 'With Luther as a film, the scale is bigger – the crime is bigger, the bad guys are bigger, Luther is bigger and there’s a more international lens put on it.

'It’s filmed in London now because that’s where we are, but if we do a movie version, it can be – "Right, then he went to Brazil" – and you can be in the favelas because it’s on this larger scale.'

Speaking as part...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
