«Breaking News» Alesha MacPhail killer's YouTube channel is finally removed

YouTube has taken down the channel set up by the teenager who raped and murdered six-year-old Alesha MacPhail.

Aaron Campbell, 16, abducted Alesha before her naked body was found with 117 horrific injuries in the woods of the Isle of Bute on July 2 last year.

Campbell had set up a YouTube channel where he uploaded footage of himself playing and commentating over video games, along with performing stunts on the trampolines in his back garden.

Videos included Campbell playing games featuring the fictional horror character Slender Man - a tall creature with no face who stalks children in the woods.

Google-run social media site YouTube said it has taken down his videos as a mark of respect to Alesha and her grieving family.

A YouTube spokesman told the BBC: 'Given the recent conviction, we've removed the channel from YouTube.

'Our hearts go out to the victim and her family, and we wish them peace in this incredibly difficult time.'

Campbell's trial at the High Court in Glasgow heard how the teenager wanted to be a YouTube star.

He played the survival horror game Slender: The Eight Pages and posted at least one video of him doing so on his YouTube channel when he was 14.

A restriction barring identification of Campbell was lifted by Judge Lord Matthews, who said that the rape, murder and abduction of the six-year-old girl was among the 'wickedest' crimes that Glasgow High Court had ever heard.

Campbell was born in May, 2002, and spent his earliest years in Shrewsbury, Shropshire but his family moved to Bute when he was five.

He was said to have killed and skinned cats before burying them in the back garden.

Campbell was caught out by his mother's CCTV as he came home in the middle of the night after killing six-year-old Alesha.

Chilling footage revealed Aaron Campbell arriving and leaving twice outside his Isle of Bute family home on the night Alesha was abducted before her naked body was dumped in the woods.

His mother thought he might have seen something relevant to the investigation - and contacted police after reviewing the CCTV footage, despite Campbell being adamant he had nothing to do with the 'barbaric and wicked' murder.

He was first spotted leaving the family home at 1.54am, when he went to the MacPhails' home and took Alesha out of bed before raping and murdering her.

At 2am he forced his way into Alesha's home. He snatched the sleeping six-year-old from her bed and carried her out of the property.

He was then seen returning home at 3.35am.

Ten minutes later he left home wearing a pair of shorts with no shirt or shoes. He came back at 3.52am and then left again six minutes later carrying a torch. Campbell then arrived home for the last time at 4.07am.

He will be sentenced next month.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
