«Breaking News» Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson says she was told to stop sex

Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson has been candid about her crusade to end s**t and body shaming since leaving the villa in July. 

And now, the 24-year-old former exotic dancer has penned her first ever article to discuss the issues close to her heart, including the negative reaction to her on-screen romps with Eyal Booker and boyfriend Wes Nelson.

Writing for the iNews, Megan admitted far from starting when she hit screens, her troubles started at school when she was 'shamed' by a boy in school which earned her the name 'The Group Sl*t' among her friends.

Megan was a late entrant into the show and while she grew intimate with Eyal and shared a kiss with Alex George, she soon turned her attentions to Wes - despite the fact he was paired with Laura Anderson, however his head was soon turned.

While she found love in the villa, she was subject to much scrutiny on the outside as her past as an exotic dancer and glamour model became known. 

In her new piece, Megan candidly discussed the backlash when she departed the villa as she revealed her intimate moments had led to her receiving death threats - however she lashed out at the fact none of the boys got the same treatment.

Co-star Adam Collard had grown intimate with both Rosie Williams, Darylle Sargeant and Zara McDermott, while Wes had slept with both Megan and Laura - yet they were not faced with any backlash which proved to be a point of contention for the star.

She has now revealed, some of her co-stars suggested she stop having sex on-screen to stop being vilified on the outside, although she insisted she would not put her high sex drive on hold for the sake of her critics.

Megan said: 'Some of the cast were trying to tell me not to have sex again because they knew how I would be perceived. That proves pretty tricky when you are falling in love and living with the person 24/7.'

Discussing the tender age her woes began, the blonde beauty revealed she has been branded since an extremely young age.

She explained: 'I’ve been labelled a slut from the age of 16, mainly by boys I had dated, or boys I had turned down, until my group of friends started to join in by calling me “the sl*t of the group”... 

'At this point, I wasn’t sexually active. I was given this label because I made a crucial mistake: a boy a few years above me in school had asked me to send him a video of me masturbating. I declined, he went on to ask me if I had even done it before... 

'I hadn’t, but of course wanted to impress him and so I told him I had. The next day the whole school was talking about it. It’s amusing to me when I look back at it, but at the time it felt like my whole world was caving in.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
