They say that a kitchen sells a home and it seems that contestants on The Block have always tried to impress with their designs each year.
And as this year's Blockheads start working on their kitchens, Daily Mail Australia takes a look back at some of the best kitchens ever seen on the renovation show.
From winners Josh and Elyse taking a risk with their unconventional layout, to Sticks and Wombat's concrete-finished cupboards to winners Will and Karlie creating an all-black space, have a look at some of the most memorable designs.

Josh and Elyse not only won The Block last year - pocketing a whopping $547,000 - but also won kitchen week.
The pair scored full points - 30 out of 30 - from the judges for their stunning kitchen and butler's pantry.
The judges - Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer - loved how Josh and Elyse had created a large butler's pantry and flipped the orientation of their island bench in the kitchen.

Rivals: Villains Ronnie and Georgia (pictured) meanwhile, scored 28 points for their kitchen that year
The pair made their island bench face the window, rather than their stove, which was a risky move.
Villains Ronnie and Georgia meanwhile, scored 28 points for their kitchen that year, creating a space with concrete-look cupboards and bench tops, and a marble splashback.
They also used dark charcoal cupboards for their oven space.

Their co-stars Sticks and Wombat also created a stunning kitchen, with the boys using concrete-finished cupboards to give their space an industrial look.
They had a white island bench that came complete with a smaller wooden bench, giving families plenty of space to eat in the kitchen.
Winners of The Block 2016, Will and Karlie, created a truly unique and modern black kitchen.

After winning the show, the pair pocketed a total of $815,000.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
