Her triumphant debut at London Fashion Week on Sunday served to cap an enviably successful career that kicked off in chart-topping girl band the Spice Girls.
But Victoria Beckham, 44, has admitted that her phenomenal rise to success felt somewhat against the odds, as she wasn't particularly popular at school.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, the singer-turned-designer advised young people chasing their dreams: 'Embrace who you are. I’ve always said it since I was really young with the Spice Girls, it’s okay to be different and when people tell you no, you say, "actually, yes!" You keep going and you believe in yourself.

'You can never dream too big. I was never the popular girl at school and I never found anything easy and I was told, "no" constantly.
'If I can do it then anyone can do it, you’ve just got to work hard, and you’ve got to surround yourself with the right people. I’m still so excited — I love what I do.'
When asked by interviewer Josh Newis-Smith what advice she would give to the person she was a decade ago, Victoria responded: 'I would just say, "enjoy the journey". I have enjoyed the journey, I wake up everyday and pinch myself.

You can do it: The singer-turned-designer — pictured at her primary school in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, in 1982 — has insisted that if she can make it, 'anyone can'
'I really have enjoyed the last ten years. I’ve learnt an enormous amount. I’m surrounding myself with the best professionals in the industry and I can learn. I would say just enjoy it and work hard and I’ve done that anyway.'
Victoria's interview comes after she admitted she feels 'guilty' as a working mother as she celebrates the 10th birthday of her eponymous fashion label.
The designer added that her 'kids and David will always come first' on discussing how she juggles work with her family life.
The mother-of-four confessed that she does 'freak out' at times, but said it was 'no different' for her than other working women.

Family first: Victoria said that her 'kids and David will always come first' on discussing how she juggles work with her family life. David, 43, and children Harper, seven, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Brooklyn, 19, sat front row at her catwalk show in London on Sunday
It comes after Victoria showed her new collection at London Fashion Week for the first time on Sunday, where husband David, 43, and children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, sat front row.
Speaking to CNBC's Tania Bryer about balancing work and family life, Victoria said: 'You know what it's not easy and everybody says do you ever freak out? Yeah absolutely. Absolutely. We all do.
'Absolutely. We all do. You know when you're a working mum you feel torn, you feel guilty, but you know I just do the best that I can do and my kids and David will always come first.
'But it's no different for me to how it is for other working women. But you know that's why we need to support each other first and foremost.'

Display of affection: Victoria was seen giving husband David a kiss as she took her bow following her SS19 catwalk show in London on Sunday
Meanwhile, Victoria said she felt 'relieved' following her first catwalk show in London, ten years after she first launched her fashion label.
She added that she was 'excited' about coming back to London, adding that it was the first time her parents had seen one of her shows.
'I feel relieved because you know there's only so many times you can rehearse,' she said. 'You know I've been so excited to come back to London and feel part of London Fashion Week.
'To have my family here, my friends here. There are some family members that have never seen what I do, so for everybody to feel included is exciting.'

Relieved: Victoria (pictured with Vogue editor Edward Enninful and husband David at a party to celebrate her label's 10th birthday) admitted she felt 'relieved' after her first London show
Victoria continued: 'It's really important to have the support of my family. I always love to see them, but also to have you know, my parents, David's family as well, that have never actually seen the show.
'My sister was here with her children that don't know what I do.'
Victoria's Spring/Summer 2019 show on Sunday was met with widespread praise from fashion insiders.
The former Spice Girl celebrated her London debut with a party hosted by Vogue editor Edward Enninful and husband David at Mayfair's Mark's Club, where she was filmed singing and dancing to Spice Up Your Life.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
