«Breaking Pic News» Kenny Miller and Lee Wallance win appeal to SPFL over disciplinary sanctions imposed by Rangers

Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace have won their appeal to the SPFL over disciplinary sanctions imposed by Rangers.

The duo were fined and suspended following an alleged dressing-room bust-up with then interim Ibrox boss Graeme Murty minutes after a 4-0 defeat to arch rivals Celtic in last season's Scottish Cup semi-final.

The SPFL are expected to explain the basis of their findings in a statement on Thursday.

A guest on Wednesday night's Sportsound programme on BBC Radio Scotland, Miller refused to comment, saying he had: 'Nothing to add at the moment.'

Rangers, however, pronounced themselves 'surprised' by the decision and expressed unhappiness that the verdict appeared on a supporters' messageboard before the club received a written judgment.

'The club is surprised by the decision of the SPFL's Tribunal on this matter and disappointed that the decision seems to have been leaked before the club were advised of it by the SPFL,' read the statement.

'Decisions on such matters deal largely with procedural issues, not the conduct which gave rise to the club's sanctions.

'The club was only presented with a 40-plus page decision after 4pm this afternoon and will now take some time to consider matters before deciding how to proceed.'

Privately, Rangers sources compared the decision to a court case being thrown out on a technicality.

Neverthless, the SPFL findings represent an unwanted outcome for the Ibrox side and a vindication of both Miller and Wallace.

Miller, now a player at Dundee after a brief spell as player-manager of Livingston, was an unused substitute in the defeat to Celtic at Hampden and never played for the club again.

Wallace was injured at the time and remain a Rangers player, but is no longer club captain.

'It's not anywhere near an end so I have to keep my own counsel at the moment and deal with it when the time is right,' Miller told BBC Scotland.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
