Venomous cottonmouth snakes were spotted slithering around Hurricane Florence floodwaters over the weekend in North Carolina.
Bradley Dixon recorded video Sunday in Hampstead where he witnessed one large and one smaller cottonmouth snake 'sucking up some sun' just feet away from him, he wrote in a Facebook post.
'The big one looks to be about four feet long... the little one is about three and a half feet long,' Dixon said.
'Just walked up on these guys on the farm I evacuated to just off of Topsail Island! They don't seem to have a care in the world!
'If you are in an area that is flooded keep an eye out for snakes... these Cottonmouths are one of the six venomous snakes in North Carolina.'

The venomous snakes weren't the only thing found floating in the floodwaters during the hurricane.
With North Carolina being one of the nation's largest pork producers, heavy waters lifted pig manure from its pits.
Dr Neill Grigg, a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Colorado State University, spoke to DailyMail.com about the matter.
He said the animal manure is stored in 'lagoons,' open earthen pits, into which tons of animal waste pours from the farms where the hogs are kept. The animals produce 10 billion pounds of manure every year.
'Hog, chicken, animal, and human waste all have a lot of different kinds of bacteria,' Dr Grigg said.
'The deadly one is E. coli, but all sorts can make you sick from contact as well as from drinking contaminated water.'

In 1999 and 2016, Hurricanes Floyd and Matthew, respectively, brought flood waters that overran a number of pig lagoons.
It is unclear how many people may have been sickened in the aftermath of the storms.
The state urged pig farmers to pump as much of the waste as possible from the lagoons and haul it away.
Furthermore, colonies of fire ants were seen attempting to survive in the floods.
The Weather Channel said in a video clip taken in Rocky Point: 'People aren’t the only ones trying to stay afloat.'
The Weather Channel said that ants are able to turn their bodies into rafts then 'link together to form floating islands.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
