Tom Arnold contacted the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday night after he was allegedly attacked by Mark Burnett at an Emmy party in Los Angeles.
'Mark Burnett just went apes** & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD,' wrote Arnold on Twitter shortly after the fight.
Multiple people who witnessed the fight told DailyMail.com that the two men were shoving one another but it was unclear who was the aggressor in the situation.
Buffy star Alyson Hannigan, who was also an eyewitness, wrote: 'Walked n2 party behind Tom Arnold and saw him & Mark Burnett get into a fight!Thought it was a joke until security jumped in! #WhyIstayhome.'
She then added: 'Jeff Probst tried to break it up…CRAZY!!!'
Arnold has been chasing Burnett for months now in an attempt to get tapes that he believes show President Donald Trump making a number of racial and derogatory comments while filming The Apprentice, which was produced by Burnett.
He has a new show about this premiering this week on Viceland called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes with Tom Arnold.

Shortly after the fight Burnett's wife Roma Downey tweeted that she had been bruised in the melee, and showed off a photo of the alleged injury while writing: 'Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop.'
Arnold responded to Downey's claim by writing: 'Bulls***. You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psycho. I’m filing police report & suing you for defamation.'
A number of people seemed to think that Downey was not being truthful on Twitter, noting that a bruise takes a few hours before it starts to show on the skin.
The incident occurred at The Evening Before party, a pre-Emmy event that was attended by a host of A-list television stars.
Many seemed to be siding with Arnold in the wake of the fight, with both Patton Oswalt and Billy Eichner posting photos with the actor after the incident.
'I’m with @TomArnold, everyone. He’s okay. We gotta protect this brutal angel,' wrote Oswalt, who also took a selfie with Arnold that showed his face looking red and scratched.
Eichner also posted an image of himself and Arnold, writing: 'Here I am with #TomArnold right after the fight with Mark Burnett tonight. Everyone in LA is shaken. Pre-Emmys Madness. Hold your loved ones tight.'
And Arnold suggested there were many other winesses who would back his version of events.
'FYI: Kevin Bacon is a solid reliable brawl witness. Sosie Bacon is a wingman,' wrote Arnold.
He also wrote: 'Roma knocked Bryan Fogel’s phone out of his hand after Mark Burnett chocked [sic] me. Bryan came with me. He won the Oscar this year for his amazing documentary Icarus. He has tape.'

On Thursday, Arnold posted video of a phone conversation that he claims was between himself and Burnett on Twitter.
In that conversation, he tells Burnett about his series, which the Apprentice creator seems to be unaware of, although it is difficult to make out what he is saying due to the volume of the audio.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the LAPD to inquire about the incident and ask if Arnold did in fact file a police report.
Burnett has done his best to avoid all talk of possible Trump tapes, and just last weekend skipped a wedding for a family friend in Nantucket that was also attended by Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Downey and her daughter did attend, with both women posing for photos with the Clintons that they then shared on social media.
There were a few people defending him and wife Roma Downey, most notably Rod Stewart's ex-wife Alana, who was not a guest at the party.
'I don’t know what happened here, but I do know there’s not a nicer, kinder, more upstanding couple in town than Mark Burnett and @RomaDowney,' she wrote on Twitter.
Arnold responded to this by writing: 'Then this must be a crap town @AlanaStewart because he attacked & choked me & she lied about everything.'
He also wrote early Monday: 'Mark Burnett doesn't seem too thrilled about my new tv show. #TheHuntForTheTrumpTapes Starts Tuesday 10:30p @ViceLand & we do a Mark Burnett/Apprentice episode the first night. Yes Roma, saving my country is worth it. Brutal bruise. Should've gone to a dr last wk when you hurt it.'
Arnold had been going after Burnett all weekend prior to the incident, and threatened to do something at the Emmys.
'Mark Burnett spent 15 yrs editing Donald Trump lies, incompetence, racism etc out of The Apprentice . That's the Trump people thought they elected. Now we know they elected the guy Burnett edited out. America's in big trouble & needs the whole truth. Why MB still hiding outtakes?' wrote Arnold on Saturday.
'First of all Burnett more than anyone knows Trump is full of crap & threatening to sue is just one of his bully moves like he does with women he sexually assaults. Second Burnett has $800 million & great lawyers (we got threats from them) Third America is in trouble so who cares?'
He later added: 'Of course Putin has kompromat on Mark Burnett. Burnett's military, Falkland Island era UK paratrooper & he's been going to Russia for 30 years. 20 to work with Putin.'
And on Sunday he posted a tweet that read: 'Mark Burnett's never leaving show business. He gets $50 million a year for "producing" Shark Tank & he doesn't even show up on set. Also every other show he does...but he is the CEO of MGM TV so he has access to everything.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
