This is the shocking moment a police officer is smashed round the head with a glass bottle - suffering a fractured skull - by a thug jailed for less than three years.
PC Anne Bloomfield is knocked to the floor by two devastating blows from Lee Carl Wright in footage filmed from a colleague’s body-worn camera.
She was left with an array of sickening injuries, which also included a hairline fracture of her eye socket, a black eye and bruising to her face and hand.

However Wright, 34, was jailed for just two years and eight months last Friday after pleading guilty to one count of inflicting grievous bodily harm and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
PC Bloomfield attempted to subdue the yob after he had punched and kicked her colleague PC David Hikin at a property in the Eastwood area of Nottingham on July 6.
She is still off work recovering from her ordeal more than two months later.

The footage, taken from PC Hikin’s body-worn camera, was released by Nottinghamshire Police yesterday to highlight the danger officers routinely find themselves in.
However Dave Keen, Chairman of the Nottinghamshire Police Federation, hit out at the punishment handed to Wright.
He said: ‘I note the sentence given to Wright for this disgusting assault on one of my members. Such assaults are never acceptable in a civilised society.

‘We are disappointed with the gravity of charge he faced and do not believe it truly reflects the events of this incident.
‘PC Bloomfield in particular faced extraordinary violence. That says an awful lot about Wright and his character.’
Nottingham Crown Court was told that a concerned member of the public called police about an intruder in his back garden who had fled into nearby gardens.
PCs Hikin and Bloomfield arrived at the scene to find Wright sitting on top of a garage.

They managed to coax him down but then had to walk him through a member of the public’s house to reach their squad car which was parked at the front of the property.
The officers managed to get him through the back of the house and were nearing the front door when Wright started to get agitated and retreated back into the property.
He shut himself in the downstairs toilet but after a few minutes he came out and was once again led towards the front door.
Wright this time reacted violently and hit PC Hikin on the arm and kicked him in the stomach before running back into the property followed by PC Bloomfield.
He then armed himself with a glass bottle and swung it twice at PC Bloomfield, hitting her in the head both times.
The second hit knocked her to the floor and in the footage PC Hikin can be heard shouting for his stricken colleague to ‘get out’.
Fortunately she managed to get to her feet and left the room but suffered a skull fracture and hairline fracture of her eye socket as a result of the assault and a cut to her forehead with swelling and bruising.

The court heard that PC Hikin deployed CS Spray as Wright, who was still armed with the broken bottle, ran into the back garden and climbed onto a flat roof.
More police arrived and attempted to speak to Wright through a bedroom window.
However he picked up a coping stone from the roof and threatened to throw it at officers who were in the garden below.
After 45 minutes He came off the roof and was arrested.
Speaking after sentencing, Detective Constable Matthew Fagan said: ‘PC Hikin’s and PC Bloomfield’s first priority was to ensure Wright managed to get safely off the garage roof.
‘They gave him constant reassurance during the entire incident but, in response, he subjected them to unacceptable levels of violence.
‘Police officers are regularly called upon to deal with highly charged and sometimes dangerous situations during the course of their duties.
‘On occasions this can lead to a member of the public taking out their aggression on an officer, which is totally unacceptable.
‘Police officers are employed to uphold the law and should without a doubt have the right to go about their job without being attacked, insulted or physically hurt.
‘Nottinghamshire Police urges anyone who comes into contact with a police officer to understand the difficulties they can face in performing their role and allow them to carry out their duties unhindered.’

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
