«Breaking News» Fulham's Jean Michael Seri wins August Goal of the Month after stunning strike against Burnley

Fulham's Jean Michael Seri has won Premier League Goal of the Month for August for his stunner in the 4-2 win over Burnley at Craven Cottage.

The Ivorian summer signing's superb strike beat off competition from the likes of Lucas Moura, Roberto Pereyra and David Silva to win the award, which is voted for by the public and a selection of panellists.

Seri, who arrived from Nice in an £18million switch, picked up the ball on the edge of the box before curling an effort into the far corner to give Fulham an early lead against Sean Dyche's side.

The strike, which was also named as Match of the Day's Goal of the Month, topped the voting among supporters and judges, with a selection of referees, former players and pundits among those on the panel.

A 27-year-old midfielder, Seri has enjoyed a strong start to his time at Fulham, impressing with his passing and vision from the centre of midfield.

His signing was regarded as a coup for the newly-promoted side given substantial interest from Barcelona the previous summer.

Seri is not expected to pick up the award until next week when he returns from international duty with Ivory Coast.

He and his team-mates are next in action against Manchester City after the international break.

Fulham have endured a mixed start to their time back in the Premier League, winning just one of their first four games of the campaign.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
