«Breaking News» Former WAG Abby Gilmore takes a swipe at her ex-boyfriend Jake Stringer

She split with Essendon player Jake Stringer in 2016 in acrimonious circumstances.

And Abby Gilmore took to Instagram during Monday night's Brownlow Medal to remind her followers that she was once one of the sparking WAGs on the red carpet.

The blogger, who shares two children with Jake, posted a photo taken at the 2015 ceremony - but raised eyebrows by conspicuously cropping out her ex-boyfriend.

It was a rather unusual decision as Abby could have simply posted one of the many solo photos taken of her on the red carpet that night.

Instead, she shared a picture of the former couple but obscured Jake completely behind a vertical black bar, with only a portion of his tuxedo visible.

She captioned the edited photo: 'Just your yearly reminder that I was fortunate enough to attend [the Brownlows] once.'

She continued: 'I walked in matching the tablecloths and never got to redeem myself ever again. Everyone tonight looks SO HOT! It's next level.

'I was also in New Idea's worst dressed, so yeah happy Brownlow.' 

After posting the Brownlows photo, Abby shared a bizarre video of herself at home and complaining about craving chocolate.

'I'm literally at the point where I'm about to get in my car and go buy chocolate. I need it that badly. This is not a drill,' she said.

The former couple share custody of their two children: Arlo and Milla. 

Abby has since built a lucrative social media brand around her life as a 'former WAG' and runs self-improvement workshops for women.

She underwent breast augmentation last year after finding herself unhappy with her appearance following the births of her two children.

'Breast surgery was never something I seriously considered until I noticed my body change after having my two girls,' she told Kidspot at the time.

'I loved every bit of me that changed, except my boobs. I have curves I love, wide hips that carried my babies safely in there, but I now have boobs that look nothing like they used to.'

Jake spoke to Fox Footy in April about overcoming a tumultuous period of his life following his split with Abby. 

'I'm really happy with where I'm at with my life. My kids have played a massive part in that, and my mum and dad, and Taylor [McVeigh, his girlfriend].'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
