«Breaking News» Filipino hairdresser is scalped in a freak Ferris wheel accident

A Filipino woman has revealed how she was scalped in a horrifying freak accident when her long hair got caught in a Ferris wheel.

Guyguy Salvador, 21, had been visiting a fairground in Surigao del Sur, the Philippines, in July this year, but after a long day at work, she ended up falling asleep inside the gondola. 

Her long hair blew out of the carriage and became more and more entangled in the machinery, and Miss Salvador eventually awoke in agony to feel her scalp being ripped from her head.

Shocking: As the wheel kept turning, more and more of Miss Salvador's scalp was torn from her head, until it was all gone

Without her or her friends noticing, her long hair had become completely entangled with the bearing shaft that attaches to the gondola to the rim of the big wheel.

Upon hearing her and her friends' screams for help, the operator eventually managed to stop the ride.

Miss Salvador then faced an agonising descent as the Ferris wheel rotated their gondola back to the ground, with more hair and skin coming off on the way down. 

Upon realising what had happened, Miss Salvador fainted, and video footage shows her being carried from the gondola, covered in blood.  

She said: 'I've never had such pain. I was in agony. When I saw the blood and what had happened I fainted. It didn't seem real.'

The 21-year-old had her scalp ripped off from her forehead to the nape of her neck

Care: The beautician and hairdresser remained in hospital for six weeks as doctors used a skin graft to cover her exposed head

Miss Salvador was rushed to the Southern Philippines Medical Center where she ended up staying for six weeks while doctors performed a series of skin grafts. 

Miss Salvador, who was released on September 17, said: 'I've thought about what happened so many times. I wish I could go back in time and change things. But it has happened.

'The wound is still very sore but I am thankful that I am still alive. Many people have worse accidents. I pray that my head will recover and I can be the same as before.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
