Yet this did not stop Ant McPartlin wishing his professional partner and best pal Declan Donnelly a happy 43rd birthday on Tuesday, as he took to their joint Twitter account to post a shot while he appeared to sport a flamenco dress.

The embattled star, who is in recovery for drink and drug addiction, shared the shot with the added caption: 'Happy Birthday from the big one to the little one!'

Ant could not resist making a cheeky joke towards his pal as he shared the snap of his long-time best friend sported a black and red dress.

Just days before, he used the Twitter account to delightedly confirm that he is six months sober. The star was admitted to rehab earlier this year when he admitted to a drink and drug addiction before facing a charge for drink driving.

Yet now, the TV veteran was pictured with his friend Simon Hargreaves looking relaxed and happy while his pal added a caption in which he gushed about his friend and his battle - and admitted he is 'happy and healthy'.

Simon, who works in PR, was clearly delighted to see his pal's progress as he shared the snap with the sweet caption: Long overdue catch up with my buddy of 20+ years for lunch this week. 6 months sober, annoyingly healthy looking...

Clearly overjoyed at the glowing praise, Ant replied to the message: 'Thanks pal. Really appreciate it. Lovely seeing you too... It really was long overdue. #weloveagoodlunch... Hope you’re using your Jcrew tote bag!'

Ant is currently taking an extended break from all of his television commitments as he recovers from alcohol and substance abuse problems.

While the funnyman is taking time out from his TV duties, he has grown incredibly close to his new ladylove Anne-Marie Corbett.

Recently, it was claimed the comedian's new girlfriend Anne-Marie will be named in the divorce papers with estranged wife Lisa Armstrong.

The make-up artist, 41, is reportedly filing for divorce on the grounds of adultery, as the estranged couple are said to be close to coming to an agreement before they submit their papers.

A source told The Sun: 'Ant doesn't want to hurt Lisa — he just wants to bring it to an end as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

'He is on the verge of accepting his adultery but only very clearly on the technical basis that he has to — while making sure Lisa agrees that it only happened months after their separation.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
