Fans of Ryan Thomas and his girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh worked themselves into a frenzy on Tuesday evening when the actor, 34, posted a snap to Instagram of the couple in a restaurant together.
The photo saw the pair cuddled up, with Lucy, 27, holding Ryan's daughter Scarlett, 10, in her arms.
Ryan's followers were immediately beside themselves, pointing out that Lucy's engagement finger seemed to have a silver ring on it.

But sadly for everyone, it was merely the edge of the ice bucket the trio were standing in front of giving the illusion of a ring on Lucy's naked digit.
Fans typed frantically into the comments box 'I can see a ring on that finger' and 'is that a ring I can see?' only to be sourly disappointed.
The false alarm comes after the pair - who sparked up a romance on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls last year - revealed to OK! magazine that they're planning on buying a house together in the new year to raise their family in.
Lucy also told her beau that she is hoping for a proposal in 2019 accompanied by a lot of bling: 'You’d better get saving because I want a really heavy left hand'.

Beside themselves: Ryan's followers were immediately having meltdowns, pointing out that Lucy's engagement finger seemed to have a silver ring on it (which the eagle-eyed out there could see was not the case)
Something smaller than an ice bucket, though, one would assume.
Ryan admitted that the couple are looking for the perfect home for them to raise any future children in: 'We want to find a family home that we can stay in for a long time.'
While Lucy added that after a year and a half together the timing is right for them to look at their future.
She said: 'I wouldn’t waste my time with someone if I didn’t believe we were on the same page about children and getting married. I know we both want the same things in the future.

'We both know that we want to get married and have kids one day and we’re happy that our relationship is moving in that direction.'

Ryan also spoke about the infamous Celebrity Big Brother scandal he was involved in with fellow housemate Roxanne Pallet over the summer, and said he has 'no regrets about doing the show'.

He elaborated that the positive light he was portrayed in has people approaching him in the street: 'After my time on Coronation Street, I didn’t think the level of attention could get any bigger, but it’s grown since CBB.
'People don’t call me Jason Grimshaw any more, they call me Ryan.'
Earlier this year Ryan appeared on and went on to win the reality TV show but was embroiled in a series of events when Roxanne, 35, branded him a 'woman beater' after a 'playful punch'.
The backlash Roxanne faced led to her quitting the show and issuing the Coronation Street star a public apology. She has not been heard from publicly since.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
