«Breaking News» Pavard left with gruesome injury during France's clash with Germany after Antonio Rudiger stamp

The UEFA Nations League got off to a horror start for France full-back Benjamin Pavard after he was left with some hefty stud marks on his neck.

Pavard was stamped on by Germany's Antonio Rudiger during the opening stages as he made a sliding tackle on the wing.

Rudiger's boots scraped along the neck of Pavard and left him with a nasty injury although no free-fick was awarded.

Clearly not bothered by what had unfolded, Rudiger cooly walked away from the scene as Germany won a corner.

Although the referee didn't see anything wrong with the incident, play had to be stopped to allow the Frenchman to receive treatment.

A number of fans watching the game took to social media to show the felt Rudiger had made the stamp on purpose.

One user said: 'Rudiger with a blatant stamp on Pavard there. Lucky to be still on the field.'

While others called for the Chelsea centre-back to be sent off following the incident, which showed Rudiger was not treating the Nations League game as a friendly.

One person said: 'That should be a red card for Rudiger.'

Another called for VAR: 'Should be a red for Rudiger, nasty and on purpose. Where is VAR?'

Rudiger’s boots...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
