«Breaking News» Instagram users bash MAC's photo featuring a woman's peach fuzz

MAC Cosmetics has caused a stir by sharing a photo of a woman's unshaved peach fuzz.

The brand took to Instagram recently to post the image onto its account. The snap, which shows a close-up of a woman's lips, is supposed to feature one of MAC's lip pencils.

However, many people focused on the nearly-undetectable facial hair above the woman's upper lip instead.

The photo, which was originally posted by make-up artist Matthew King and was later shared by MAC, features another make-up artist named Natalie, who goes by nats.vibe on Instagram.

Some people who took issue with the light peach fuzz visible on the photo gave MAC a piece of their minds in the comments section.

'Nice mustache on the model. Who does these ads? They need to be fired,' one person wrote.

'What's up with the mustache?' someone else asked.

Some people suggested hair removal techniques, such as one person who wrote: 'Those hairs on upper lips demand to be plucked. Threading comes before lip painting.'

Another person commented: 'I suggest upper-lip threading...'

Many people, however, sided with the model and praised MAC for not digitally editing the photo to remove the facial hair.

'This is beautiful and realistic,' someone wrote. 'I'm a fair woman and always have to worry about my darker facial hair, but I appreciate my editorial natural stache most days.'

Several people saw the photo as a way for MAC to take a stance in favor of natural beauty, and pointed out that having facial hair is perfectly normal.

'Thank you MAC. Beauty is not always about perfection. Color is gorgeous,' one Instagram user wrote in appreciation of the lip pencil. 'And shock horror women have hair on their bodies!! Who knew right!'

'Look at this beautiful company representing those of us women who aren't completely hairless!' another person commented.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
