«Breaking Pic News» One-handed linebacker Shaquem Griffin will make history Sunday by starting for the Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks rookie Shaquem Griffin will start at weakside linebacker when Seattle opens the regular season at Denver on Sunday.

Starter K.J. Wright is still recovering from minor knee surgery and coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the earliest he would return is Week 2 against Chicago.

Griffin, who had his left hand amputated as a child, became one of the big stories of the NFL offseason with his performance at the scouting combine. 

The former University of Central Florida star was drafted in the fifth round by the Seahawks.

Griffin got plenty of playing time in the preseason and played well with the exception of the second game against the Chargers.

Griffin will also play alongside his brother Shaquill, the starting left cornerback for the Seahawks.

What is most impressive about Shaquem Griffin is that he earned his start this coming Sunday.

Griffin led the entire Seahawks team with 26 tackles total in the four preseason games, according to NFL.com.

His path to the NFL has been an inspiration - so much so that he is featured in Nike's latest ad campaign.

The controversial Nike ad featuring former NFL star Colin Kaepernick was revealed in full earlier on Wednesday.

Running to just over two minutes in length, it opens with Kaepernick's voice saying 'If people say your dreams are crazy, if they laugh at what you think you can do, good. Stay that way.'

The ad, which features Kapernick on camera for all of about 20 seconds, concludes with the former quarterback saying: 'So don't just ask if your dreams are crazy, ask if they're crazy enough.'

The caption at the end flashes 'It's only crazy until you do it. Just do it,' which is exactly what Nike has done with this ad.

Towards the end of the ad, there are a number of highlight reels from Griffin's collegiate career.

The ad features other big-name sports stars including LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Usain Bolt.

Nike's choice of Kaepernick to be its pitchman has angered conservatives who say his protest of police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem is denigrating the military.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
