«Breaking Pic News» Mel B appears on AGT hours after judge subjects her to drug testing

She has been ordered to submit four months of drug and alcohol testing after a judge demanded a 'full scale custody' evaluation.

But Mel B brushed off the drama of her ongoing custody battle as she returned to the America's Got Talent panel for the show's live semi-finals on Tuesday evening, where she wowed in a gorgeous yellow gown.

Reclaiming her chair alongside fellow judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell, Mel looked in high spirits as she offered her verdict to this year's contestants.

Mel, 43, looked sensational in a heavily-sequinned yellow dress emblazoned with a pretty floral motif and a tasseled belt detail that drew attention to her svelte waist.

Putting her best foot forward in a pair of sparkling silver heels, the former Spice Girl didn't scrimp on accessories either as she teamed her frock with a myriad of necklaces and rings for a slightly bohemian finish.

Amplifying the glamour, the singer styled her blonde tresses into preened curls and opted for a dramatic make-up look with a strong smokey eyeshadow and dewy brown lipstick.

While Mel maintained her upbeat demeanour on the judging panel, filming for the show followed an intense day for the star.

Earlier that afternoon, the ex chart-topper was ordered by a judge to submit to four months of drug and alcohol testing after an ex 'manny' to her two younger children accused her of heavy drinking, taking numerous men home for sex, and neglecting her kids.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas demanded a 'full scale custody evaluation' of the star during Tuesday's hearing to decide if she is fit enough as a parent to maintain joint custody of daughter Madison, seven, with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.

The drug and alcohol testing on Mel - real name Melanie Brown - will be random and conducted at her LA home for four months by federal approved facility, the judge ruled.

The America's Got Talent judge showed up in court in a cream-colored jacket, patterned silk blouse, beige pants and pink high heels, alongside her close friend Gary Madatyan, who was sporting a graphic tee with words 'Honest, Trust, Loyalty, Respect'

The judge also ordered that while they have custody of Madison, 'neither parent will consume drugs or alcohol during the custodial time or eight hours before the custodial time.'

Judge Juhas directed both Brown and Belafonte to 'meet and confer' over their joint custody agreement for Madison and he ordered a 'full scale custody evaluation of all the issues' by family experts.

Belafonte's lawyer Grace Jamra - who claimed in court today that Mel 'did not even call Madison on her (seventh) birthday' last Sunday - objected to the nanny who Mel has hired to look after Madison.

'We have no knowledge that this nanny is qualified,' Jamra told Judge Juhas. 'We are asking you to protect this child.'

Judge Juhas decided that Madison will stay with Belafonte until Thursday, when Mel B is throwing a belated birthday party for her youngest daughter.

The 43-year-old mother of three, landed back in court today after her former friend and male nanny, Rusty Updegraff, made a damning declaration on Friday claiming her drinking was out of control, she was 'incapable' of caring for Madison and her 11-year-old sister Angel (Brown's daughter by Eddie Murphy), and her ferocious appetite for sex made her bed a procession of random men.

Updedgraff's bombshell revelations prompted Belafonte, also 43, to go back to court to ask the judge for a 'modification' of their joint child custody agreement and to force his ex-wife to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Belafonte (pictured on Tuesday) 43, was granted temporary custody of the couple's seven-year-old daughter Madison last week after the explosive claims were revealed in a bombshell declaration. The judge ruled he will maintain custody until Thursday

Updegraff, 59 - who told DailyMail.com that Mel B is 'the world's number one bad mother' - claimed Brown slept with dozens of men since divorcing Belafonte last December, including her children's piano teacher, a driver, a hairdresser, a 'surfer kid' and a guy she picked up at SoHo House, who the kids nicknamed 'smelly feet'.

He also accused Brown of sometimes leaving her children unsupervised with some of the men she brought home for sex.

Updegraff said he fears for the safety of Brown's children.

'I am filing this declaration to alert the court that the children need immediate help and protection as their safety and well-being is at serious risk,' he said.

'I do not believe it is in the children's best interests to be left in her care.'

He claimed that Brown's drinking got so bad that she would start with beer and wine at 10am, sometimes earlier, before progressing to harder liquor such as vodka, tequila or gin, until she 'completely passes out'.

Brown often dispatched him to the local market and demanded that he buy 12 bottles of wine, two bottles of vodka and one or two 12-packs of beer, he claimed.

'That would all be gone in 4-5 days,' added Updegraff who included with his declaration a photo of empty tequila boxes stacked to the ceiling of Brown's home.

'Melanie's behavior got so bad, that I begged her not to drink tequila anymore. I told her she became very mean and angry when she drank tequila.'

Brown - who announced recently that she plans to seek therapy for problems with alcohol and post-traumatic stress disorder brought on by her messy divorce from Belafonte - is reportedly denying Updegraff's sensational claims, telling a friend that the allegations are 'nonsense.'

'It's a smear campaign. They want to bring me down. I am not an alcoholic and I am not a sex addict,' she told her pal, according to London's Mirror newspaper.

'I will prove to them that I love my children.'

And another friend reportedly added: 'Mel is fuming right now about what happened in court. She feels betrayed by her friend Rusty and is determined to show the judge and the world that these allegations are false.'

Belafonte and Brown - who split up in March last year - were divorced in December after a long-running battle in which lurid tales of kinky sex, drug and alcohol abuse and allegations of domestic violence made headlines.

Despite their divorce being finalized nine months ago, the battle over children's custody and finances have dragged on through this summer.

Brown estimated that she's spent more than $1 million in legal fees and owes another $800,000 to attorneys and accountants.

Brown - who has to pay Belafonte $15,000 a month in spousal support until 2020 - claims the long-drawn-out split with him has ruined her financially, she's more than $3 million in the red and the IRS has started garnishing her America's Got Talent salary to pay off hundreds of thousand of dollars in back taxes she owes.

On August 6, Judge Juhas ordered Brown to pay Belafonte $350,000 in legal fees and $5,000 a month child support for Madison.

The couple were also ordered to set aside $1.1 million - $550,000 each - when they sell their $8 million former marital home, to pay back taxes they owe for 2016.

The hearing was supposed to have finally brought their bitter breakup to a close and they were scheduled to appear at September 17 hearing to formally check that both parties were complying with the judge's orders, before Updegraff's bombshell claims.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
