Joe Denly is set for a busy winter regardless of whether he makes England's tour squads to Sri Lanka and the Caribbean with Sydney Sixers leading the global quest to recruit him.

The 32-year-old has been approached by the Big Bash franchise to fill one of their two overseas slots, after he made a good impression in a four-game stint as a stand-in for Jason Roy earlier this year - his batting average of 73 was the second highest in the tournament.

Karachi Kings also want to retain the Kent player for the Pakistan Super League in early 2019 while his name has been put forward for next month's Afghanistan equivalent - which is being held in Sharjah due to security reasons and pays its players £100,000 - plus the T10 League, another Sharjah tournament, in late November.

That potential financial windfall means a win-win situation for a cricketer enjoying an Indian summer of a career. 

A third of his 27 first-class hundreds have come since the start of 2017 while this season represents his best ever from a bowling point of view.

England's selectors believe a player who spent six months as a white-ball international in 2009-10 has developed a game that could prove useful in Sri Lankan conditions. 

He is considered a good player of the turning ball while his leg-spin is viewed as a potentially worthy supplement to the attack.. 

The all-rounder has attracted plenty of interest from Twenty20 teams around the world 

He took a career-best four for 36 versus Derbyshire in Kent's latest County Championship win.

If that was timely, so was his first-innings hundred in Derby, having been encouraged to switch to the number three position in the same week that England captain Joe Root made it clear he wants to vacate it.

The previous week, the England selector James Taylor went to Leicester specifically to watch Denly and witnessed a gutsy 62 on a tricky pitch.

Denly is 32-years-old but seems to be in some of the best form of his career

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
