TOWIE stars James Lock and Myles Barnett have again come under fire for their treatment of women following the return of the show last week.
Six months after the duo caused a shocking storm, in which charity Women's Aid blasted the show for 'glamourising abuse', viewers have again taken aim at the pair for their attitude towards their female co-stars and partners.
The duo, who are linked to Yazmin Oukhellou and Courtney Green respectively, were subject to much social media reaction as stunned viewers branded them 'narcissistic, toxic and dodgy' for their behaviour in the first episodes of series 23.

As the show kicked off, Myles' ongoing messy split from Courtney played out following his cheating scandal, while he was not only seen making jibes about his ex's best pal Chloe Meadows but also locking horns with Amber Turner.
Myles, who has now been exposed for dating Love Island star Kady McDermott, was subject to much commentary on social media as viewers swarmed the site to hit out at his relationship woes and his behaviour.

Following the comments, a spokesperson for James said: 'James is shocked that comments of this nature are being made about his relationship with Yasmin, who he loves and respects unconditionally.
'He abhors any such bad treatment of women and is disappointed that anyone might be branding him in that light.’

At the beginning of series 22, James was seen locked in an argument with his girlfriend and her friends Chloe M and Chloe Lewis leading to outraged viewers calling for his dismissal from the show - a call backed by the charity.
Sian Hawkins of Women’s Aid, insisted James' behaviour is showing 'clear warning signs' and 'sends a dangerous message', yet a TOWIE spokesperson defended the airing of the scenes as they were surrounded by 'reflection and apologies'.
Viewers were left in shock when James was seen shouting at his partner Yazmin in a previous episode, while others were left aghast when Myles called girlfriend Courtney 'a f**king s**g' for merely speaking to Jordan Wright.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
