«Breaking News» Pippa takes inspiration from ballet to avoid a 'penguin-style waddle'

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa Middleton, who turned 35 yesterday, is doing her best to maintain her physique during the third trimester of her pregnancy.

'Having the agility to bend down is not what it was,' she says.

'I feel far from a ballerina, but I'm equally determined not to break into a penguin-style waddle and plod around with bad posture.

'So with this in mind, I've continued to embrace barre-inspired workouts throughout pregnancy — a form of exercise taken from ballet which involves the small, isolated movements that develop flattering muscle tone or so I hope.'

Pippa, who is expecting her first child in October with multi-millionaire financier husband James Matthews, has previously shared intimate details of her baby bump and her pregnancy work-out experiences.

The fitness fanatic revealed in her Waitrose Weekend column last month that she has given up jogging.

'I stopped running — not because I read it was unsafe, just because I rather liked the idea of giving my body (and growing baby) a rest from pavement pounding.'

She says she is 'conscious of holding my tummy in (as if giving your baby a hug) to support my back and ensure that post-baby, my old favourite jeans will still fit... eventually.'

And while her sister suffered from extreme morning sickness in the early stages of each of her three pregnancies, Pippa endured no such discomfort during her first trimester.

The debilitating illness resulted in the Duchess of Cambridge withdrawing from public duties for several weeks.

'I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness,' she has said.

'This being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered.

'I wanted to know things like — would I strain if I served in tennis? Are all strokes of swimming safe?

'Can I still do a normal yoga class if I avoided certain positions? Could I still work my abs?

'It's particularly hard in the early months when you don't really want to share the news with everyone, not even your class instructor.'

'I've noticed my body change and weight increase — but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it's being strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth and recovery.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
