In a newly unearthed video of an interview with Fader Magazine, the Weekend hitmaker speaks about the drugs he had used in the past while appearing to foreshadow his premature death.
Mixing a purple drink believed to be codeine-based sizzurp, a concoction of cough syrup and fizzy drink, the star said he could previously never say no when substances were offered.
He said: 'I'm always like, if someone's like 'you wanna try this?' I'm just like 'yeah, sure'. And then it just kinda f***s you up if you've got a bunch of money because if you try a drug, you like it, you can buy a lot of it.'
'So I went through about everything. At one point weed didn't relax me from everything, it made me more paranoid about all this s**t happening.

'So I needed to get a drug that was a little more numbing, if you will, and less, like, in your head.
'I think that's what sparked me doing other drugs, because I hate being sober. I wanted a drug to do.
Denying he was taking drugs in the current moment, he said: 'Let me clear a couple of things here. There's been a lot of talk about me being on drugs and look at me - do I look like I'm on drugs to you?
'Not on drugs. Drugs are on me. That was a f*****g quote. That was the quote.'
The interview also features him speaking about overdosing.
He said: 'I'd rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can't even get out of his house.
'Overdosing is just not cool. There's no legendary romance. You don't go down in history because you overdose. You just die.'

Mac, real name Malcolm McCormick, is filmed in the studio with friends including rapper French Montana.
He mixes the drink, with his friend telling him it's 'too strong'.
He says: 'This is too much though, this is pure. This is not the s**t you did before - you're not listening to me. This is not even the one you think is it. Listen to me, I'm your brother. This right here, you're gonna miss a couple of shows.
Mac responds: 'No way!' while holding up the bottle. 'This is perfect, this much.'
A shot of him fully clothed in the bath is also played over the footage.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
