«Breaking News» Lili Reinhart shares a sassy retort after Twitter users say she shouldn't 'get to' date Cole Sprouse

Lili Reinhart loudly clapped back after someone suggested she didn't deserve to date her Riverdale co-star Cole Sprouse.

The actress, 22, spoke out on Wednesday after an 18-year-old Twitter user named Emily publicly shared a screenshot of a conversation between herself and one of her friends, in which the friend took a jab at Lili.

'How come this cringey b***h gets to date Cole but I don't?' Emily's friend asked.

Exchange: An 18-year-old Twitter user named Emily publicly shared a screenshot of a conversation between herself and one of her friends, in which the friend took a jab at Lili

Emily responded: 'She is so 2013 Tumblr' and speculated that Lili 'probably tells him to touch her butt and buy her pizza'.

The Twitter user then shared a screenshot of the entire exchange publicly along with the words: 'the scoop on @lilireinhart'.

She made sure to tag the actress in her post, meaning Lili saw it — and promptly shared her own retort.

'No no...' Lili told Emily. 'I tell him to touch me ~everywhere~ and then we eat Chinese food. Get your facts straight, Emily.' 

Lili's response has since gone viral, generating more than 20,000 retweets and garnering more than 162,000 likes.

She and Cole, 26, are believed to have been dating since early 2017, although they long remained private about their relationship.

Still, they have shared photos of each other on social media, have been spotted kissing in public, and last month, Lili posted a loving message on her Instagram account to mark Cole's birthday, calling him 'my love'.

Lili's fans loved her response to Emily and chimed in to praise her 'brilliant' retort.

'YOU FINISHED IT BABY!' one person wrote, while someone else cheered: 'F**K YES LILI TELL HER.'

'WHAT A WOMAN' someone else tweeted.

'Ohhhhhhh snap you tell her girlie,' another person wrote.

This isn't the first time this month Lili has shared a sassy comment pertaining to her relationship with Cole on social media.    

The actress had a sardonic response after her Riverdale co-star Camila Mendes, 24, posted a group shot on her Instagram account earlier this month, saying it was taken during a 'Labor Day getaway'.

Camila tagged Cole as well as Riverdale's Charles Melton, 27, in the photo, but not Lili, who doesn't appear in it.

Nice try: Lili told KJ she and Cole must have split, prompting Mädchen Amick, who plays her mother on Riverdale, to ask her and KJ to 'stop trying to break the internet'

That detail wasn't lost on their co-star KJ Apa, 21, who plays Archie Andrews in the CW drama.

He joked in a comment: 'Omg... Coles not sitting next to lili.... [sic]', implying that something must have been wrong between the two lovebirds.

Lili played along and replied: 'They must've broken up' next to a string of emoji featuring a distressed face, a magnifying glass, and a pair of curious eyes.

Her comment, which has been liked more than 70,000 times, didn't quite convince actress Mädchen Amick, 47, who plays Betty's mother Alice Cooper on Riverdale.

'Oh stop trying to break the internet,' she told Lili and KJ.

Fans of the couple, however, seemed rather distressed as they couldn't quite tell for sure whether Lili was joking or not. 

'WTH? ARE YOU SERIOUS????' one person wrote, not long after another Instagram user poste: 'Wait what yu're kidding right.' 

'NO THIS CANT HAPPENNNN' another person wrote in response to Lili.

'DON'T EVEN JOKE LIKE THAT,' someone else begged, while another fan declared: I'm just gonna pray that you are lying.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
