She plays a woman challenging gender norms in her latest movie role. 

So Keira Knightley naturally sported an androgynous ensemble as she promoted her new flick, Collette, on The Late Show with Seth Meyers in New York City on Thursday night. 

The actress, 33, who is renowned for her demure red carpet style, showed off her fashion versatility as she switched things up in an offbeat trouser suit for her appearance.

The Atonement star looked sensational in a navy, velvet blazer, which boasted a contrasting white lining that complemented her crisp white shirt. 

She teamed the piece with culotte trousers that comprised both velvet and chiffon fabrics, the latter falling in pretty pleats.

An eccentric bejewelled bow tie, black court heels and a designer clutch bag completed her fashion-forward outfit.

The beauty's Hollywood waves added to the retro feel, her curled brown tresses cascading around her face in a strong side-parting. Her make-up look was equally alluring, with Keira sporting a brown smokey eyeshadow and nude lipstick.  

Keira has been hot on the promotional trail of Colette, her first movie release of the year, in recent days.   

The screen star's movie is based on the life of the author of the same name who lived from 1875 to 1954, dying at age 81.

Set in the early 20th century, author Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is pushed by her overbearing husband, Henry Gauthier-Villars, to write novels under his name in the biopic. 

When they become bestsellers, she fights to make her talents known, challenging gender norms of the time. Dominic West plays her husband. 

Speaking on Good Morning America earlier in the day, Keira touched on the importance of the movie: 'The film focuses on the early years of her life, when she was married to first husband, who took credit for her first four novels. It's about the fight for her own voice, feminism and gender politics.'

Colette also sees the actress share a steamy kiss with co-star Eleanor Tomlinson, as the character explores her sexuality.

Keira elaborated: 'They were a celebrity couple, and her husband was brilliant at marketing. He marketed her and didn't give her voice, but she took her voice back.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
