Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, has revealed the midfielder agreed to join Manchester City before a turn of events resulted in him signing for rivals Chelsea.
The Brazilian had agreed in principal to sign for Pep Guardiola's side after he was singled out by the Man City boss as his number one target.
But as Napoli and City could not come to an agreement on the price, Chelsea swooped in to land him and immediately reunite him with head coach Maurizio Sarri.

'It was all done with Jorginho,' Joao Santos confirmed to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
'There was an agreement, but there was no agreement between the clubs. All parties have to agree, and one did not.
'Then Chelsea asked what the situation was after Sarri arrived and Jorginho went to London.'
The transfer saw Jorginho move to Stamford Bridge for £52million, while Chelsea were also forced into paying Napoli compensation for Sarri.

Although it was not Jorginho's original plan to move to London, his agent claims he is loving his time at the club - helped by their winning streak.
'He's really enjoying it at Chelsea, the team is on a roll and has won four matches out of four,' added Santos. 'It's a great start.
'Going to Chelsea was a unique opportunity, the career of a player is very short and now we hope for the best.'
Jorginho will be back in action for Chelsea after the international break when the Blues face Cardiff at home.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
