Christine Blasey Ford has spoken again via her attorney Michael Bromwich
Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford told Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley that she's concerned she won't get a fair hearing Thursday when she's due to testify against Trump's SCOTUS pick.
In a letter from her attorney Monday, Michael Bromwich says his client may not get a 'fair and credible' hearing after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's claim that her accusations of sexual misconduct are 'a smear' against the Supreme Court judge nominee.
The letter obtained by NBC's Frank Thorp suggests the process has gotten out of hand as numerous people chime in to have their say ahead of this week's proceedings.
They also express desire to know exactly who will appear as the sex crimes prosecutor that chief counsel of nominations for the Senator Judiciary Committee Mike Davis had earlier mentioned in emails with attorney Michael Avenatti, who says he is representing a third woman with credible information against Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge.
They demand to view the person's experience before entering into the arena with the person who they suggest may not be up to the job or necessary at all.
'It is also inconsistent with your stated wish to avoid a "circus," as well as Dr. Blasey Ford’s repeated requests through counsel that senators conduct the questioning,' he writes in reference to contact the alleged victim had previously had from the Grassley. 'This is not a criminal trial for which the involvement of an experienced sex crimes prosecutor would be appropriate.

They also express desire to know exactly who will appear as the sex crimes prosecutor
'In our view, the hiring of an unnamed "experienced sex crimes prosecutor" as Mr. Davis described in his email, is contrary to the Majority’s repeated emphasis on the need for the Senate and this Committee’s members to fulfill their constitutional obligations.'
As well as pointing out the White House's failure to launch an FBI investigation after the accuser's claims, the attorney goes on to say that McConnell's incorrect claim that there's a 'complete lack of evidence' suggests they've already completed an investigation.
The issues show Dr. Blasey currently doesn't feel completely comfortable going through with the hearing Thursday and begs the questions whether it will happen at all.
But Dr. Blasey - who has claimed she has received death threats and had to hire private security - has said previously that nothing will stop her.
Ford penned a letter to Grassley, who initially tried to forge ahead with a committee vote after her bombshell accusations first surfaced in the Washington Post.
'While I am frightened, please know, my fear will not hold me back from testifying and you will be provided with answers to all of your questions. I ask for fair and respectful treatment,' she wrote Grassley.

Attorney Michael Avenatti who claimed he was representing a woman with credible information against Kavanaugh Sunday, had shared emails that mentioned a sex crimes prosecutor and Dr. Blasey's team demand to know the person's identity

Kavanaugh, meanwhile, went on national television on Monday to deny any inappropriate sexual behavior. He told Fox News in an interview broadcast Monday that he 'always treated women with dignity and respect.' He is seen with wife Ashley Kavanaugh during the interview
'I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and other Senators directly, person to person, to tell you what occurred,' Ford wrote. 'I will answer any questions you have. I hope that we can find such a setting and that you will understand that I have one motivation in coming forward – to tell the truth about what Mr. Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge did to me. My sincere desire is to be helpful to persons making the decision.'
Kavanaugh is also due to appear at a panel hearing on Thursday.
She also recounted to Grassley how she raised decades-old accusations against Kavanaugh by writing two California Democratic lawmakers – triggering a series of events that caused the charges to appear in the Washington Post. She claims Kavanaugh groped her and tried to rape her at a house party in the 1980s. Kavanaugh denied the allegation in a Fox News interview Monday, saying he never sexually assaulted anyone.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will get an up-or-down vote on the Senate floor no matter what the Judiciary Committee does

Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford wrote Sen. Charles Grassley to say 'fear will not hold me back from testifying'
'When I first learned that Brett Kavanaugh was on the short-list of nominees to fill a Supreme Court vacancy, prior to the President’s selection among a list of what seemed to me as similarly-qualified candidates, I contacted my Congressperson’s office in an attempt to provide information that could be useful to you and the President when making the selection from among a list of candidates,' she wrote.
'The decision to first report the assault to my Congresswoman, Rep. Anna Eshoo, was a very difficult one, but I felt that this was something that a citizen couldn’t NOT do. I felt agony yet urgency and a civic duty to let it be known, in a confidential manner, prior to the nominee being selected. While it was difficult, I was able to share my information with two contacts during the period between the short list announcement and Mr. Kavanaugh’s selection,' she wrote.

Grassley (pictured) responded that he should have been informed when Ford contacted the top Democrat on his committee. But he promised her 'fair and respectful' treatment
She said she sought to be a 'helpful citizen' by bringing the information forward – in a letter published on a day Kavanaugh and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blasted a 'smear' campaign.
'Mr. Kavanaugh’s actions, while many years ago, were serious and have had a lasting impact on my life. I thought that knowledge of his actions could be useful for you and those in charge of choosing among the various candidates. My original intent was first and foremost to be a helpful citizen – in a confidential way that would minimize collateral damage to all families and friends involved,' she wrote.
Kavanaugh has denied her accusation.

Christine Blasey Ford writes that she has retained security and faced 'death threats'

She also sought 'fair and respectful treatment' at the Senate Judiciary Committee
'I then took the step of sending a confidential letter to one of my Senators, Ranking Member Feinstein, and I understand that you have a copy of that letter. I am certainly prepared to repeat the facts in the letter and to provide further facts under oath at a hearing,' Ford wrote.
She asked to be allowed to testify in a 'fair setting that won’t disrupt families and become a media TV show.
As Kavanaugh prepared to appear in a Fox News interview alongside his wife, Ford also spoke of the personal toll the matter has taken on her.
'While the nationwide outpouring of love has been heartwarming, I am spending considerable time managing death threats, avoiding people following me on freeways, and disconcerting media intrusion, including swarms of vans at my home and unauthorized persons entering my classroom and medical settings where I work,' she wrote.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley of Iowa promised a 'credible and fair process' while allowing 'the nominee to address the allegations made against him'

SEE YOU THURSDAY! Grassley included a post-script with his letter
'I have received an inordinate number of requests to appear on major TV shows to elucidate further information, to which I have not responded. My goal is to return soon to my workplace, once it is deemed safe for me and importantly, for students.'
She said through 'gracious persons here and across the country, we have been able to afford hiring security' for protection.
Grassley, who during his career has championed whistleblowers but who has sought to press ahead with the Kavanaugh hearing, responded with his own letter. Grassley even included a hand-written post-script where he wrote: 'I look forward to your testimony.'
He wrote her: 'I should have been given your July 30 letter at the time your letter was sent by either my colleague Sen. Feinstein or the lawyer helping you so that what it said could have been considered in August and during the week of September 4, when the committee hearing was held, including a senators-only session of the hearing.'
But Grassley also told her: 'I am committed to fair and respectful treatment of you, as you've requested. I've worked to make certain the committee I chair handles all individuals involved in hearings in that manner, and you deserve the same.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
