«Breaking News» Everton 'could face points deduction or fine' over chase for Marco Silva

Everton could be facing a points deduction or a substantial fine over their pursuit of Marco Silva when he was manager of Watford last season.

The long-running dispute between the two clubs escalated on Thursday with reports in The Times that an independent inquiry has been launched into Everton's recruitment of Silva.

The Hornets claimed Everton made an 'illegal' approach for Silva last season and reported Everton to the Premier League.

Any inquiry could require Everton's hierarchy to hand over their phone records and diaries to a QC, who would seek to uncover any contact between the two parties.

The last high-profile 'tapping-up' case saw Chelsea found guilty of approaching Ashley Cole in 2005, breaking Premier League rules in the process.

Chelsea were given a suspended three-point deduction and handed a £300,000 fine.

Cole was also fined £75,000 and then-manager Jose Mourinho had to pay £75,000 for attending a meeting with the defender.

Silva was subsequently sacked last January with Watford citing Everton's approach as a 'catalyst' for his dismissal.

Silva replaced Sam Allardyce as Everton manager at the beginning of June but the saga between the two clubs has rumbled on ever since.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
