«Breaking News» Ashley Roberts takes a break from Strictly rehearsals

She's busy working hard all training for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

And Ashley Roberts was taking a break from her ballroom schooling to attend the Cartoon Network 25th Birthday celebration at the Steelyard in London on Thursday evening.

The former Pussycat Dolls star, 36, was looking glamorous in a bright pink shirt and wide-legged trousers.

Ashley turned heads in the eye-catching satin number, daring to be different in the bold attire.

She teamed the top with smart tweed trousers, cinching in the look at the waist.

The American star was joined by comedian Joel Dommett as she larked about in a ball pit at the party, letting loose in the midst of her rigorous training.

Despite some fans insisting Ashley will have an unfair advantage on this year's Strictly thanks to her dance history, the feisty blonde is insistent she's on a level playing field.

Ashley is one of 15 celebs to sign up to the 16th series of the BBC prime time favourite, joining the likes of stand up comedian Seann Walsh, YouTuber Joe Sugg and model and author Katie Piper.

The US singer turned TV personality told MailOnline at the launch of Strictly this month that she feels the weight of expectation on her as she prepares to hit the dance floor for the first time - but her old moves are very different to those she will be taught.

'There’s a bit of pressure but the little booty smacks and booty popping I don’t think are allowed in the Latin / Ballroom world,' she insists.

'I’m nervous to learn everything. It’s just so foreign to what my body has done. I do have rhythm so it might be a little bit easier for me to possibly pick up a step.'

'But it is still a new skill that I do not know, that I am going to have to learn, that I really passionately want to learn and get in there and hopefully do alright.'

Ashley soared to fame in the modern Burlesque group and dance troupe Pussycat Dolls. She left the group in 2010 and became a judge on ITV series Dancing On Ice.

The star has admitted that while she could pick up the Latin moves quickly, she's most nervous about learning the ballroom dances.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
