«Breaking News» Boy, 13, brings cocaine-filled balloons to school, sending two students to hospital

Two California students were hospitalized after a 13-year-old boy brought balloons filled with cocaine to his school on Friday.

A group of students discovered the two deflated balloons on the playground and played with them but raised alarm when they started to feel dizzy.

They alerted officials at Carl F. Smith Middle School in Terra Bella at 8:40am.

School officials thought it was flour but called the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office as a precaution. Narcotics officers said the powder tested positive for cocaine.

Thirteen students believed to be exposed to the cocaine were tested to see if they were under the influence of the drug, but all tested negative.

Two children were taken to the hospital as a precaution and their parents were notified.

'The deflated balloons, similar to drug bindle packaging, had a white powdery substance inside and outside the packaging,' the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release

'The reasons (the students) contacted school staff is they were messing with the balloons and they pulled open the balloons and saw white powdery substance and two students became very dizzy,' Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said.

A K9 officer on the scene pointed deputies to a 13-year-old boy whose shorts tested positive for cocaine. The drug was also found at his home and a search warrant is being written. The child is being interviewed by detectives.

No other evidence of the drugs were found on the campus of Carl F. Smith Middle School which teaches grades six to eight and has 300 pupils.

'Our greatest concern is for the safety of our children. The Sheriff has made phone calls to the Superintendent and the Principal to reassure them that the Department is committed to making sure students are safe both in and out of school,' the Sheriff's office said.

Concerned mother Maricela Madrano told the Times Delta: 'The school should give more attention to the kids. This is scary.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
