«Breaking News» American Horror Story: Joan Collins debuts as nuclear war survivor on season premiere of Apocalypse

Joan Collins became a cannibal on Wednesday's season premiere of American Horror Story: Apocalypse and she enjoyed it.

The 85-year-old English actress made her debut on Ryan Murphy's FX anthology series as 'Nanna' Evie Gallant, a wealthy survivor of nuclear war.

In her subterranean bunker she chomped on a dish that was apparently made from a recently-murdered man, exclaiming: 'It's absolutely divine.'

The show titled The End opened in the near future in Beverly Hills in 2019 with celebrity Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt [Leslie Grossman] swigging green juice while she got her hair quaffed by her beautician Mr. Gallant [Evan Peters].

An alert popped up on her phone warning of an international 'Ballistic Missile Threat' inbound to Los Angeles.

Coco's father called from Hong Kong, telling her to get into a car he'd provided that would take her to a safe place immediately.

'It's too late for us,' he warned her.

Coco frantically called her husband Brock [Billy Eichner] and told him to meet her at the Santa Monica airport with her assistant Mallory [Billie Lourd].

Gallant rushed to his Nanna, played by Joan, to warn her about the end of the world.

'It's probably fake news, I'm going to call Donald,' she sighed.

'It's real grandma, people are going to die, today' he urged.

'Let's have some burnt champagne,' she suggested, before they rushed to make Coco's plane.

Brock got stuck in traffic, so they had to leave without him.

'You bitch!' he screamed, as he watched the plane depart above the bloody chaos.

On the jet the group discovered that there were no pilots, and they felt a colossal explosion.

A mushroom cloud from the nuclear attack then unfolded beneath them as they peered out from inside the jet.

The next scene introduced Timothy Campbell [Kyle Allen], a student who had just learned that he'd earned a place at prestigious UCLA.

As news of the nuclear war broke, a team of agents called 'The Cooperative' scooped him up from his family with a paramilitary team.

Timothy was told that his 'exceptional genetic makeup' made him a prime candidate for survival.

'You submitted your DNA to an ancestry website,' the mysterious agents explained as they carted him away.

In his prison he met another teenager called Emily [Ash Santos] and they were both transported to Outpost 3.

The 'safe house' was a luxurious underground bunker, built for the rich and privileged and run by Ms. Wilhemina Venable [Sarah Paulson].

'It's a collection of the dozen greatest minds mankind has to offer,' said Wilhemina.

In the outpost servants wore gray while possible survivors wore a regal purple.

'Purple…the elite, the worthy, those chosen to survive,' said Wilhemina, who described herself as 'the face' of The Cooperative.

They were expected to dress up for dinner but 'no unauthorized copulation of any kind' was permitted.

'Under any circumstances,' Wilhemina warned them.

In the shower, Taylor saw '666' written in the steam and a voice whispered to him 'beware.'

A TV star called Dinah Stevens [Adina Porter] made an appearance in the compound, telling the group that their measly dinner of one jello cube 'contains every vitamin' their bodies needed.

'For $100 million a ticket I expect Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen cooking us real food,' yelled Coco, who got a slap from Wilhemina for her insolence.

'We are the last vestiges of civilized life on the planet, be vigilant,' said Wilhemina.

Wilhemina's right-hand woman Ms. Miriam Mead [Kathy Bates] 'discovered' that someone had contaminated the grounds with radioactivity.

She pulled Gallant and another man aside for a rough decontamination session. She then brutally shot the other man in the head, branding him 'dirty.'

In Wilhemina's private, candlelit quarters she and Miriam discussed how they were torturing the guests with a constant loop of Karen Carpenter music, violence and poultry rations.

'We're the only ones who matter,' said Wilhemina, who revealed that she had rigged the Geiger counter to enforce the unnecessary murder earlier.

'Killing is in my DNA but I still respect the chain of command,' said Miriam, who was concerned that they were disobeying the rules of The Cooperative.

'Forget The Cooperative, it's only us,' said Wilhemina.

At the next meal the guests were rewarded with fresh meat, which appeared to be harvested from the dead man.

'For heavens sake, don't be ridiculous,' scoffed Wilhemina, as the diners freaked out, and tried to vomit.

'I don't care what it is, it's absolutely divine…I'm going to finish every drop,' said Nanna.

Flash forward to 18 months later, amid the nuclear winter, and Emily and Timothy were falling in love.

'We had to ration one kiss per week, just to be safe,' he said.

Enter 'the antichrist' Michael Langdon [Cody Fern] who was there to select a few individuals from Outpost 3 and take them to 'a sanctuary' with impenetrable walls and 'enough supplies to last a decade.'

Michael is the now-grown-up child of BDSM 'Rubber Man' Tate Langdon [played by Peters] and Vivien Harmon [Connie Britton] from AHS: Murder House.

Medium BIllie Dean Howard [Paulson] had warned in Murder House that 'a child born of human and spirit will usher in the end of times.' Michael was conceived by Vivien, a human, and Tate, a spirit.

'I could take all of you or none of you, those who make it live, those who don't end up like my horses,' he said, as footage rolled of his horses being buried outside.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse continues next week on FX.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
