«Breaking News» Amazing video shows hundreds of dolphins in a superpod chase fish off California shore

Breathtaking video shot off the coast of Northern California shows hundreds of dolphins swimming along the shoreline while chasing fish.

The video was recorded on Monday by Patrick Webster, who produces social media content for Monterey Bay Aquarium.

It shows approximately 1,000 dolphins in a superpod - or a large gathering of sea mammals in an area where there is an abundance of food.

Dolphins often travel in pods made up of dozens of the species.

Because they are considered intelligent and socially developed creatures, traveling together in groups helps them care for weaker or sick individual dolphins.

Superpods are when more than one pod come together in search of food.

Webster said he saw the ocean ‘come alive’ when he noticed the dolphins swimming unusually close to the shore, according to the Los Angeles Times.

This particular superpod had been hanging around the shore of Monterey Bay for about a week.

‘It was one of the most amazing experiences to see the water be alive with squeaking and splashing dolphins,’ Webster said.

‘They’ll hop up and take a look at you, and you can see they’re checking you out.’

Webster and a friend were out on a boat Monday testing an antenna when they noticed the superpod.

The dolphins swam toward the whales’ feeding area to feast on leftovers.

‘They were just going to town,’ Webster said.

‘It’s a super big deal to see so much wildlife all in the same spot.

‘For the animals, it’s probably just a regular day.’

Sea mammal enthusiasts flock to the California shoreline during this time of the season, which is peak for observing whales and dolphins as they swim back and forth between Mexico and the San Francisco Bay area.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
