Administrators say they are optimistic a sale of Towcester racecourse can be agreed in time for the track's meeting on November 29 to go ahead.
The Northamptonshire track, whose history can be traced back to the 1870s, was placed in administration in August and yesterday the BHA agreed that its scheduled meeting on October 10 is being transferred to Southwell.
A tight timetable exists for the sale of the racecourse and its fixtures, its grandstand and the greyhound track on the site to go through in time for the November fixture.
Administrators are 'optimistic' that a sale of Towcester racecourse will be agreed very soon
That is likely to only be achievable if an existing racecourse group buys Towcester. Arena Racecourse Company, who own or run 16 British racecourses including Doncaster and Southwell have been linked with a deal.
Mark Orton, partner at KPMG and joint administrator, said: 'There has been a strong response from the market, with 25 interested parties to date and we are now in the process of working through these.
'Indicative offers are being sought in late September and we hope to conclude the sale process in October, to allow sufficient time for the 29th November 2018 jump fixture to be held at Towcester Racecourse.'
Meanwhile yesterday's meeting at Salisbury became the second to be called off this week because of an infestation from chafer grubs had made the ground unsafe.
Epsom's meeting tomorrow (Thursday) has also been called off. The chafer grubs attack the turf's root system and make the ground too loose to race on.
Salisbury's meeting on Friday will go ahead but races will be restricted to the Straight Course, away from the problem areas.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
