A Romanian man who threatened to eat his heavily pregnant girlfriend before killing her with a pair of scissors was convicted of murder today.
Ioan Campeanu, 43, repeatedly stabbed Andra Hilitanu, 28, in the bathroom at their home in Neasden, northwest London, on June 1.
The mother, who was seven months pregnant with her third child, suffered multiple injuries including a fatal neck wound.
Campeanu later told police: 'She's dead, I killed her.'

Tonka Nikolova, the couple's flatmate, lived with her boyfriend in the room next door to them between October 2016 and May 2018.
She told an Old Bailey jury through an interpreter that Campeanu often hit Ms Hilitanu and she sometimes found her crying on the kitchen floor covered in bruises.
Once she had a very bad black eye after he punched her in the face, the court heard.
Ms Hilitanu's cousin, Roxana Dragoi, told investigators that she had earlier witnessed the killer threatening his partner: I'll kill you Andra, I'll eat your flesh.'

She also described seeing Campeanu kicking her cousin in the groin.
Prosecutor Brian O'Neill QC said: 'You may think that's significant given she was pregnant at the time.'
Campeanu was convicted of murder by an Old Bailey jury following a two-week trial today but they are still considering a charge of child destruction which he denies.
Earlier Mr O'Neill told how Campeanu murdered his pregnant partner, then left their home and went for a drive before returning an hour later.
He said:'Some forty minutes after his return he phoned emergency services.
'During that 999 call he confessed to having killed Andra as he also did to police who attended the scene, telling them that he had killed her some two and a half hours earlier.
'He had previously called his daughter, who lived in London, and confessed to her what he had done.'
After stabbing Ms Hilitanu, Campeanu called the London Ambulance Service and told them: 'She's dead, I killed her'
The prosecutor said there was a fifteen year age gap between the couple, adding: 'She was just 28 years old when she met her death.
'They had lived together as a couple in a room in a flat at 104 Neasden Lane since about January 2016, although not continuously.
'Throughout their relationship the defendant regularly assaulted Andra.'
The pair had lived in a rented room in the building's basement flat, sharing a kitchen and bathroom with other tenants.
After they returned home that evening, their flatmate Daniel Neves-Gabriel texted the landlord complaining of a loud argument.
Later that evening, Mr Neves-Gabriel texted their landlord Borivoj Cisler saying: 'Big problem here, the girl is dead.'
The defendant's daughter, Sabina Campeanu, received a phone call from her father shortly after midnight.
In the phone call, Campeanu told her: 'I got rid of her, take care of yourself.'
She rang him several times throughout that evening. During these conversations her father said 'she is gone, she is in the bathroom,' and, 'I did not realise what I did.'
Mr O'Neill said shortly after killing Hilitanu, Campeanu had taken his red Mazda for a spin, driving into central London before returning to Neasden an hour later at around 1:40am.
Ms Hilitanu had lived with Campeanu in a flat in Neasden since about January 2016, although not continuously
At 2:24am, Campeanu called the London Ambulance Service and told them: 'She's dead, I killed her.'
Asked how he had killed his pregnant partner, the defendant replied: 'With some scissors.'
Police arrived at the flat at around 2:40am where the Campeanu was waiting outside and waved officers over.
One of the officers told jurors how Campeanu appeared relaxed and 'was in no rush.'
Mr O'Neill said: 'The defendant gestured towards the bathroom door, which was slightly ajar, and behind which the deceased was laying on the floor - the bathroom radiator was off the wall.
'The deceased had multiple puncture wounds all over her body and neck. She was extremely cold to touch.'
He added that the murder weapon was 'a very ordinary pair of scissors,' which were found at the scene stained with the victim's blood.
The killer was interviewed with the aid of a Romanian interpreter the following evening and gave a no comment interview.
Campeanu, of Neasden Lane, Neasden, denied murder but was convicted.
He denies child destruction.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
