«Breaking News» Woman, 21, found guilty of helping friend plot the murder of his secret 13-year-old girlfriend

An ex-Virginia Tech student, 21, has been found guilty of being an accessory before the fact of first degree murder for helping her friend plot the murder of his secret 13-year-old girlfriend.

Prosecutors say that Natalie Keepers was closely involved in helping David Eisenhauer, 21, plan the death of Nicole Lovell; going with him to buy a shovel and helping him pick out the location for the murder.

Text messages also showed that the pair discussed the methods to kill Lovell - Eisenhauer's secret 13-year-old online girlfriend.

Lawyers for Keepers, who pleaded not guilty to being an accessory before the fact, argued that she never really believed he planned to kill Lovell, and that she was 'just playing along with his fantasy.'

Attorney Kris Olin said that Keepers had never even met the victim but 'loved being part of the plan, not because it was a plan to murder but because it was a plan to be close to David.'

Olin told the jury that 'playing along' is not the same as 'shared intent.'

But on Thursday, a jury found Keepers, who spent most of the hearing with her head down, wiping tears from her eyes, guilty.

Keepers, of Laurel, Maryland, and Eisenhauer, of Columbia, Maryland, were both freshmen engineering students at Virginia Tech at the time of the killing. Lovell was a Blacksburg middle school student.

Eisenhauer is now serving a 50-year sentence after pleading no contest to first-degree murder.

The first witnesses to testify included a Blacksburg police detective and an FBI agent who interviewed Keepers.

Jurors were shown several video clips from the interviews. In one, Keepers gave a detailed account of how Eisenhauer stabbed Lovell to death in the woods.

'He wanted me there to help,' Keepers said. 'He wanted me to help kill her.'

Keepers said Eisenhauer drove her to Virginia Tech before the killing and she went to her dorm room. She has denied being present for the stabbing.

Keepers, now 21, also told police in the video clips that she and Eisenhauer talked about different ways to kill Lovell.

'He was bouncing so many ideas off my head, I couldn't keep track of them all,' she said. 'He was the one who officially developed the plan.'

Prosecutors say Eisenhauer met Lovell online and communicated with her for months before meeting her at least once in person.

They met again in January 2016, when the college freshman lured Lovell out of her family's apartment with the promise of a 'secret date'.

That's when he took her to wooded area and subsequently killed her because he feared she would expose their relationship.

Prosecutors have said that Keepers told police Eisenhauer told her he feared Lovell could be pregnant.

Keepers said Eisenhauer told her he might have had sex with Lovell at a party, but couldn't remember because he blacked out and later woke up in a ditch.

Lovell's body was found just over the state line in North Carolina.

A medical examiner had testified that she had 14 stab wounds, including a lethal wound to her neck.

Keepers previously admitted helping to hide the body of Lovell, a Blacksburg middle school student, after the murder on January 27 2016.

During his June sentencing hearing, Eisenhauer expressed regret over the young girl's slaying.

'I am sorry for the pain my actions have caused for Nicole Lovell and her family,' he said.

Before Eisenhauer's sentence was imposed, Lovell's parents described how their daughter's killing has affected them.

Her father, David Lovell, said he's been diagnosed with severe depression and post-traumatic stress disorder since his daughter's death.

'There is nothing that will happen in this courtroom that will fix it,' he said.

Her sentencing hearing has not yet been set.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
